Mixed Chicks Leave-in Conditioner, 10 fl oz

I truly wish I could give it more than 5 stars...sets the curls beautifully...

I took my time to evaluate the product, and now, after my 4th purchase, I feel confident to write a review, considering the long/term results of the leave-in! I do have a 3b/3c hair, and I am a total mixed chick, with blended Jewish/African/Portuguese origins. My hair is extremely dry, and I do live close to the polar circle (so, the weather conditions do not help). Since I moved here (ca. 5 years), I've struggled to find a product suitable for my hair, and I finally found it! Before mixed chicks, I've tried all possible famous brands (Sebastian, Paul Mitchel, Deva Curl, etc), and the results were never what I was used to have in my home country. Now, I finally feel that I am investing my money in a good hair product! Mixed chicks managed to give me all the results I would like to have: well-defined curls, no frizz, controlled volume, hydrated curls and, finally, the overall look where I can recognize myself again! If your curl are above 3b, I totally recommend! As a final note, I do not recommend mixing it with Sebastian or Paul Mitchel products because I've tried and I got dandruff while combining products. However, this side-effect disappeared after I stopped mixing, and I am very happy with the product!

I have long frizzy, curly hair and after a search on the internet found this product. I thought...well, may as well give it a try,...I am so pleased that I did. This product is truly amazing, but, for me it works best on nearly dry hair, when I used it on wet hair, it didn't work at all, so my advice is - experiment , to find how Mixed Chicks best works for you. It leaves my hair in quite tight, smooth, individual curls. I am not of mixed race, just a British woman with frizzy hair, which it appears I have now seen the back of....yay!!! Thanks Mixed Chicks!

Sind zum Glück aus Zufall auf dieses tolle Produkt gestoßen. Es war eine Empfehlung einer Bekannten, welche wohl sehr lange nach einem geegneten Produkt für ihr Mischlingskind suchte, welches schön isolierte Korkenzieherlocken zaubert. Es funktioniert auch bei meinem Mischlingskind ganz hervorragend. Ich begann mit dem Produkt (übrigens nicht die Kinderversion) als unser Kleiner 6 Monate alt war. Nach dem Waschen einfach eine kleine Menge ins Haar einmassieren und am besten luftrtrocknen lassen. Auch wenn man keine einzeln isolierte Korkenzieherlocken wünscht, kann man das Haar ja noch durchkämmen. Das Haar erscheint aber super vital mit natürlichem Glanz. Zuvor erschien das Haar trocken mit leicht helleren Haarspitzen, auch ohne Spliss. Durch den Leav-in Conditioner erscheint das Haar einen Tick dunkler und wunderschön vital. Ich hatte lange im Internet recherchiert wieviel man wie oft nun benutzt und bin auf ganz unterschiedliche Anleitungen gestoßen. Mein Sohn ist wie gesagt ein Mischlingskind und hat -wenn man die Haare glattzieht- eine Haarlänge bis zwischen die Schulterblätter. Hierfür benutze ich nach dem Baden maximal die Menge einer 1 Euro Münze, massiere diese in das noch nasse Haar, lufttrocknen und fertig. Im Winter föhne ich dann schon, aber das Resultat ist besser mit dem lufttrocknen. Nun der Clou, am nächsten Tag, wenn der Kleine ganz zerzaust ist, mache ich nur meine Hände nass, fahre ihm mit den Fingern durch die Haare (finger comb) und fertig! Das selbe nach dem Mittagsschlaf. Vielleicht so am 3. Tag nehme ich nochmals ca. die Menge einer 10 euro cent Münze, verteile sie erst in meinen nass gemachten Händen, dann ihm im Haar, wieder "fingerkämmen", trocknen und super Ergebnis. Ich bin ganz begeistert von dem Produkt und kann es wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

I have been using this product for years. It does define my wavy hair and never leaves that crunchy hair feeling some products do. I recommend this product to anyone wanting their hair defined and still soft.

Ich habe gewelltes bis lockiges Haar. Die Haarstruktur hat eine starke S-Form, sodass es sich auch mal kringelt unter den besten Voraussetzungen. ;) Mixed Chicks habe ich jetzt ca. 3 mal ausprobiert. Und so langsam bekomme ich es hin mit der Dosierung! Die Haare sind danach schön definiert und trotzdem nicht angepappt. Um nach dem Schlafen die Locken wieder zu beleben, habe ich in einer Sprühflasche den Conditioner mit Wasser gemischt. Muss sie danach nur noch kneten und mit dem Diffuser föhnen. Ich kann es empfehlen, wenn jemand den Effekt erzielen will wie bei John Frieda Traumlocken Spray. Das Mixed Chicks ist ergiebiger und somit günstiger.
