My favorite pen writes again! Smooth, clean lines

The pen refills came in an envelope with bubble wrap, which is not what I would consider fashionable. However, the pen refills were cheap, and they came quickly. They also fit snugly in the pen I was using. I would recommend that one check the dimensions of the original pen that one wishes to refill using these with since my original pen is from another company. The ink is smooth and does not smudge. All in all, considering the price and the quality, I would absolutely recommend these refills.

Although the ink flows well, the tip does not extend out as far as on the original ink cartridge, so it feels like the flange of the pen is going to scrape or catch the paper as you are writing. Imagine using one of those twist-to-open ballpoint pens twisted only halfway open. Super awkward, right? I won't send these back because it is not worth the effort, but will explore other options in the future. On the positive side: The ink flows beautifully-- even better than the original in terms of flow. See attached pictures for comparison between old vs new. The old has the greater length by only 0.5 mm (used calipers to measure) but it turns out that is significant when it comes to pens. Pics: 1) new Schmidt refill 2) old cartridge 3) BMW gift pen 4) old and new compared (0.5 mm difference). Update: I just read on a different review a customer said the refill tips are adjustable. I took a pair of needle-nose pliers and gently rotated and pulled on the refill tip and it does extend to the desired length. Hopefully the cartridge does not desiccate faster because of this, but it is a solution you should know about. Will report back if there are any problems!

I have some really nice pens and it’s not always easy to find a quality ink replacement. These are very nice, perfect fit and no blotchy spots or leaks so far. Definitely recommend. Some other brands I have purchased were either completely dry, or had ink come out blotchy. I will definitely buy from this company again.

I’ve ordered these ink refills a couple times, now, for my “fancy” pen. I’ve been using these refills for more than half a year now and they’re great! The ink doesn’t come out uneven or splotchy, it’s perfectly smooth. I write at least 3 pages a day, and I would say the ink lasts about 2-3 months. Pros: - easy to replace ink refills - ink goes onto paper smooth and dark (not splotchy or uneven at all!) Cons: - Ink doesn’t seem to last as long as if you were to use a non-refillable type pen. - wish seller sold a larger number of replacements in one pack. - when the ink starts to run out, instead of just… not working anymore, the color slowly fades and gets lighter and lighter. Depending on how long you can endure the fade, the ink refill might last longer than if you’re someone who wants a consistent dark color.

There is nothing to dislike about this pen refill…it works perfectly and writes smoothly. Also, it’s a good price for two refills-not just one. I will definitely buy again.
