It performs exactly as intended and is a great addition to any home or professional bike repair toolkit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked like a charm on my 2015 Trek Remedy 8 (PF41 / BB89.5 / GXP) *by on Reviewed in the United States June 30, 2020* On my 2015 Trek Remedy 8, I'm swapping out the stock 2x drivetrain for 1x SRAM Eagle, and part of the process requires switching to a SRAM Dub bottom bracket. The world of bottom bracket terminology is a bit confusing, but I think the stock bottom bracket + shell I had on my Remedy was PF41 / BB89.5 / GXP. The shell is 89.5mm across and 41mm in diameter, and the bottom bracket that comes with the bike is 24mm on the drive side and 22mm on the non-drive side. I'm mentioning this in case anyone has a similar Trek bike and is as confused as I was before doing a bunch of research and finding this tool.I hesitated to buy this tool because it's essentially going to only be used once, but after a bunch of hassle of unsuccessfully trying to remove the existing bottom bracket without the tool, I finally caved and bought it. When the tool arrived, it took several whacks from a rubber mallet, but it worked like a charm to get the bottom bracket out, and I can see the value in having such a tool versus some other more makeshift methods, especially if you're going to use it more than once. But even just using it once, the amount of time I saved by just using the proper tool was probably worth the $45.
