The Silipos brand does not deteriorate with time like the lesser expensive brands do which start to deteriorate and turn gummy after a short while. These you can wash and use over and over. I tried almost all the brands to see what worked best and these are it. I have a bad psoriasis rash that gets on my toes and cracks open and bleeds so these save my toes. I use them over and over and wash them with gentle soap, usually shampoo, and let them dry overnight. We explored several other types and brands, but this one worked best for us. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Replacement I Have Found So Far *by B***N on 8 December 2015* In 2010, I bought my favorite toe caps from Foots Smart, very "cushiony", great for protecting sensitive toes/toe nails during exercise. Held up well over time. Unfortunately those are no longer sold. Those were about 1/8" thick. These seem to be a little more than half that thickness, but they are the best replacement I have found so far.
