## Description

Tamiya Gray Fine Surface Primer L, 180ml Spray CanTamiya Fine Surface Primer is ideal for preparing your plastic model parts made of ABS and Styrene plastic for paint. The primer may also be used for metal parts. The light gray color primer is great for dark color applications; while Tamiya's white surface primer is ideal for light color applications. Both primers bite well into plastic surfaces and even fill in small scratches and imperfections. Tamiya's surface primers may also be wet sanded before paint is applied. Each can contain 180ml.

Review: A bit pricey but high quality - This stuff is magic. It goes on so smooth it's crazy. If you're working with 3D printed stuff it also smooths out the surface, I'd say at least 50% better with no other prep. It's a bit spendy so you might want to save it for your best projects but other than that, no complaints

**Q: Does this work well on abs/pla plastics from 3d printing?**
A: The paint works well on abs/pla plastics from 3d printing. I haven't found any plastic it doesn't work well on.

**Q: What does the "l" stand for? tamiya has no information anywhere. need to know difference between regular "surface primer" and surface primer l" thanks**
A: "L" cans are 180ml. 
Standard (non-L) cans are 100ml. 

Otherwise there appears to be no difference.

**Q: It might have already been asked, but is this a primer that is suitable for over coating with the Tamiya TS range of spray paints?**
A: I have not found a paint that doesn't work with this primer

**Q: can i paint over it with tamiya acrylic brush on paint and can this primer be used on styrofoam**
A: I use it with brush on paint all the time.  I've never tried it on styrofoam though.
