Tan Towel Self Tan Towelette Classic 10 Count

I tried the Tan Towel Self Tan Towelettes (Classic, 10 count), and they’re one of the simplest self-tanning options I’ve used. Each towelette is pre-soaked with just the right amount of product, so there’s no mess, measuring, or extra tools needed—just wipe and go. Application is quick and surprisingly even. As long as you apply in a circular motion, the color develops naturally without streaks or patchiness. The “Classic” shade gives a subtle, sun-kissed glow rather than anything too dark, which makes it great for building gradually. I also appreciate that there’s no strong self-tanner smell while applying. The color develops over a few hours and looks natural on the skin, not orange or overly artificial. The only thing to keep in mind is making sure to wash your hands right after use and maybe moisturize dry areas beforehand for the most even result. Overall, these towelettes are perfect if you want a quick, low-maintenance tan with minimal effort—great for travel or touch-ups.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but these are worth the time and money. I’ve never used a tanning towel before but I’ll never use anything else. I have light olive skin and tan easily. I choose the Fair to Medium Classic. After spending some time in the sun I had the ‘oh you got some sun’ and the ‘omg put that ghost away’ winter white places and I wanted to even out my look. I used the towels as directed after a shower. I’m 5’5 130 and one towel works for me. I just did the winter white places. Didn’t see much result after the first time so did it again two days later (Mon, Wed) and was amazed at the result. It wasn’t immediate but by that evening I was tan. And, not streaky, not weird orange, not bizarrely dark knees, elbows, feet. It absolutely looks natural. I’m a good color now so won’t reapply again until it fades. It’s been a week and still nice. Hasn’t stained sheets or towels. If you want to avoid the sun entirely but not be Casper or just want to zhuzh up your tan, these are great. I haven’t used on my face and don’t think I will so can’t speak to that. Anyway, I’ll be buying these again for sure.

Finally, something easy to use and it WORKS! I am what many would call, "Ooh, that girl has never seen the light of day!" But I have, and I do. I work construction and I have a GREAT tan on one arm. (the one that sticks out the crane-hauler window) I was headed to Cleveland for vacation (another weird story) and wanted to look like I live in California. I do, so I tested out these Tan Towels. They don't smell funny, they don't stain clothes, they are easy to use, they work fast, the process to use them is simple and fast, they last pretty long, they didn't streak, and they gave me a natural color tan! I had many people compliment me on my "tan!" I bought the Half Body from Light to Medium skin tone and always started the towel on a different part of my body, this way my lower left leg didn't always get the freshest part of the towel. I could use a Half Body Towel for my whole body. I am petite. I used the towel twice in one week and then twice in one weekend before we flew to the Tropical Vacation Destination of Cleveland. And, then once during my week in Cleveland. I used one tan Towel about a week after I returned from Cleveland. That was 2 weeks ago and I still look TAN! I did not use them on my face because I couldn't figure out how to time it so I didn't end up "primping" most of it off during my make-up application process. (not that's it's extreme, but it does include toner and other products) Be a little careful around joints and boney areas. Around my ankles and knees it got a wee bit dark, but just plain scrubbing (a wee bit more than usual) in the shower toned the dark spots down. But, this was a main reason I only used 1ea. HALF towel for each application.

If you're looking for a quick, pretty even, and cheap tan, Tan Towels is a great option. The trick is to know how to apply self-tanner, which some people are not familiar with. As a pale person who has used and abused self tanners for a couple of decades, I've learned a few things about how to apply it. Here are a few tips: First - Cleanse and Exfoliate. Be sure your skin is as clean and smooth to ensure an even tan. Also be sure your skin is moisturized! If your skin is dry, chapped or peeling, chances are that the tan will be uneven. Second - Be Quick. As soon as you rip open the packaging, unwrap the towel, lay the sheet flat against your palm and go for the largest areas and move quickly in a circular motion, never letting your hand rest in one area for too long. Third - Broad strokes. Use lots of broad circular strokes so color doesn't distribute too much in one area. Remember to keep that hand moving! Fourth - Let your skin dry. Some people only wait 5-10 minutes and then put their clothes on. Wait longer and let the skin absorb the product before putting on clothes. I recommend loose clothing. Try to keep your skin dry for as long as possible so as not to disturb the tan that's developing. They say it takes a few hours to develop. Be sure to wash your hands immediately afterward with soap and water! If you apply tan towels correctly, you should achieve a pretty even tan. I often use it a day or two in advance for a wedding or special event and people usually assume it's a natural tan from a vacation. Be sure to pick the correct shade as if you pick one a lot darker than yours, there is a chance of getting that orange-y color.

I recently stopped using Tanning Beds after developing some skin issues, and after many years of summer tanning outdoors while boating, etc. I have tried many self-tanning products in the past, ranging from drug store shelf products to very expensive department store cosmetic products. I also tried the spray tan @ Tanning salon, but all those tanning alternatives had one thing in common...that pungent odor, I am told comes from the bronzing agent. Some of them streaked too. If the results from those products looked good, my skin did not smell good. My Dermatologist gave me a couple of packets of "Tan Towels" to try. I found them to be basically odorless, what scent they have is pleasant, and they actually work. I noticed some tanning right after using them, they don't streak, & tan is uniform all over body where applied. If used following the directions and a couple of times a week, the tan lasts pretty long, and does not seem to rub off on clothing when allowed to dry completely before dressing. The Plus side of this product...Pleasant scent (no bad odor) noticeable, natural looking tan, easy to use (just be sure to wash hands after using). Only negative...size of Towelettes (small, takes two for entire body per application) and they are pricey, considering how many you have to use with each application to achieve desired results. I did save $ by ordering from Amazon as opposed to ordering from manufacturers website. Have not found them in any stores such as Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc. Can probably be purchased @ many Dermatologists offices as well. All in all, an excellent product I recommend & plan to continue using!

I have tried almost every self tanner product on the market today. But when I tried the "Tan Towel" I knew that I had found the perfect fit. I've never once had any kind of blotching, streaking or that obvious orange color that self tanners often have. The towelettes are so easy to apply and you really can't mess the application up. You just simply drag the towelette over any part of your body that you want tanned and let it dry for awhile. Within a few hours, the beautiful color will begin to develop. For me at least the color has always looked very natural and makes the skin feel soft and healthy. One note of caution is that you definitely have to be careful during application around areas like your feet, knees or elbows. What I recommend is simply using the towelette until it feels pretty dry without touching those areas and once most of the tanner has been used up from the towel, come back and apply very lightly (barely graze those mentioned areas) and the color will be perfect. If you don't do this, you will notice a buildup of orange color. Another thing I've noticed is that you have to make sure no water touches the skin anywhere you've applied the product for up to 30 minutes. It only takes a tiny drop of water to cause the tan to develop oddly. I was washing my hands after application and a little splash got on my leg and it caused small streaks there. So if this happens, just reapply the used towelette to that area and it will develop color normally. But overall, I'd recommend these Tan Towels to anyone at least to try and see if it works just as well for you. I hope this review helps make your self tanning decision a little easier. Good luck!

I LOVE these! SO much! I have VERY porcelain skin, as you can see above (ignore that weird photos, they show the biggest difference in skin color) lol these towelettes are seriously amazing! It applies FLAWLESSLY! And I use it on my entire body with zero issues. It works within minutes so you can quickly use it before going out of necessary. I also like that it fades well too- not blotchy. I love that it's not too dark for my super light skin tone- I am not seeking to look like a tahitian beauty, just for a little more tint to my tone. This isn't super orangy, and it doesn't make you break out or anything either. I love pairing it with tanning water for a bit of a darker tone if desired, without needing to apply the towelettes too often. Will use these forever! So quick and easy and can put on clothes as soon as it dries- so much faster than the lotions and mousse tanners. Plus you can moisturize immediately before or after and it still applies without steaks or spots ❤️❤️

I have used Tan Towels for many years, but the last box I bought on Amazon did not work at all. No color developed. The smell and moisture was there and it seemed the same when applied but there was zero color as a result. Very odd. I will not order these on Amazon again. I have to add that I just called the phone number on the TanTowel box and spoke to a woman who seemed very disinterested. She told me I could call Amazon. I thought she would be more interested in knowing that I received a defective box, but she did not care at all. She tried to tell me that they work for her! I explained again that I have been using this product for many years which indicates that I am very satisfied with the product. After receiving a box which produced zero color, I definitely will not order these Tan Towels again. Don't bother calling the number on the box. The woman was unprofessional and not helpful at all. She was very, very disinterested.

Used these almost 25 yrs ago when sold on HSN. They worked great then, and didn't disappoint now. No streaks, drys quickly, a little bit of a smell, but not bad at all.
