Oculus Rift S PC-Powered VR Gaming Headset - 301-00178 (Renewed)

This was the first purchase as a used product for me. It was listed as very good condition station,and it was. Became in the original box with The headset and both controllers. Everything works fine. I am very pleased with this purchase

Only worked for a couple months. Not impressed.

Worked great for about 4-5 days then started crashing wasn't so bad only once every like 2 hours but then it started getting more and more frequent now its every few minutes I've moved its connections around between all USB 3.0 ports on my computer (and DisplayPort's) I'm currently in contact with oculus support for the short while it worked it was great hence not a 1 star my computer specs are above what they need to be and everything I've tried scouring the internet hasn't worked sadly I'm going to try and bring it in to geek squad and replace the cable and if that doesn't work well sad times are to come for me this is shorter than my previous review cause I mistakenly deleted it but this is the short version of it

On the one hand this headset was one of the best ever made for games and it's perfect for linking directly to a PC at a sit-down workstation for our staff. Unfortunately, the process of interfacing with the PC required our entire IT department, several additional orders of extra equipment that took days to arrive, and several more days after that of searching through technical documents and crash report forums before we then carefully pinched, poked, and prodded the third party produced cables and adapters and extremely buggy and user-unfriendly software updates into something worth more to us than a brick of plastic with straps all over it. Instead of saving money we wasted it and lots of time, too. Unless you have a tech startup in your back pocket to set up and manage the system I promise you will be disappointed.

I love it but I wish it had an on/off button when you turn on the game then you put in on it turns on

The only thing I don't like is having to be a member of Facebook to use it.

Wouldn't even turn on when plugged in. I should have done more research, but I jumped at the chance to get a cheap VR headset. Apparently Oculus Rift S headsets stopped working for many people a few years ago and FB, who owns Oculus, doesn't provide customer support. They claim to, but send boilerplate emails in response to customer support tickets and do little else to help. THIS IS A SCAM! The Oculus Rift S headsets no longer work and should not be sold to anyone. If I thought there would be any consequences for Amazon I would report them to the Attorney Generals office for fraud, but I know that won't do a thing.

Pretty diappointing..it was a Christmas gift. Can't setup if you don't have a newer computer..garbage
