This caddy supports hot swapping and is for 3.5 inch drives only. There is no converter for 2.5 inch drives included with some of the other offerings on Amazon. The caddy works well and fitted my R240 server without bringing up any alarms. There is an LED that confirms activity which is reassuring and it is offered with a 4 year warranty which shows confidence in the product.
