Will this work to repair this type of deck surface?** A: We used this product around our pool decking, to fill in cracks and large chunks of missing pool deck. We found this product to work very well and easy to work with. It comes in 2 parts, where you mix a liquid binder into the powder, with water. It also comes in several colors. I mixed small amounts of powder with small amounts of the binder, with some water, and worked on small areas at a time. The videos on you tube are very helpful also. Thanks........** A: Everything thing comes with this kit and you just use the liquid bonder that's inside with water and it works great!It was actually really easy- only issue was my pool deck was faded so I knew going into the project that I was going to paint it anyways so the color didn't matter. My next layer of stain will hide the patch. 1 year old and no shrinkage. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works like a charm *by on Reviewed in the United States April 16, 2023* I needed to repair chunks of mortar that had fallen from a jacuzzi spillway and between the coping and jacuzzi wall that had cracked along a good 6-8 foot section and with higher water splashes was leaking through to the pool deck. My coping mortar is grey and the spillway sanded mortar is sand, so I figured this color (sand) would be close to both, and yup it's a nice sand color and dries lighter. Since this photo where you can clearly see the difference in colors where the repair work was done, it's dried 24h later to a perfect match to the sanded mortar and is obviously lighter than the grey concrete under the coping but that's hidden under the coping so I don't care.For those reviewers complaining about the directions, slow down and think about it. It's 1-1 powder and bonder and 3-1 water and powder, very simple. If you use enough powder to empty 1/3ish of the small container, then simply use 1/3ish of the little bottle of bonder, and mix in water to desired consistency of the resulting mortar - thinner to drip into cracks, thicker to push into cracks and build shapes to match larger cracks. It dries pretty quick so work fast and use a splash of water to fix what you mess up, super easy, don't overthink it (I dropped little blobs all over the place and they wiped up easy with a wet sponge). Wash up with clean water a few times to remove all the swirl marks from previous wipes, use more splashes of water to sand down over application areas and you're done.I was quoted $1,250-1,500 to have this done by the pool builder with a few weeks of wait time for such a tiny job... I tried to contact the seller without success so contacted Amazon when I received the first shipment and asked if the curing agent was inside the container or was separate. They told me it should be separate, so I returned the item and reordered it. Again, the container of powder arrived without any curing agent. I finally ordered a container of concrete curing agent to use with it.Once I opened the container to use the powder and mix for use, I found a small bottle of curing agent inside. The bottle isn’t enough for the whole container of powder (which is the consistency of dry mortar), but it was enough to mix up enough patch for our pool deck cracks.We power washed the pool deck and put some muriatic acid in the cracks prior to filling them with the mix. The mix did a good job repairing the cracks. The color was a little darker than our original deck, but it is fading with time and the cracks look much better.
