Sent it back and ordered this one, which I am very happy with. The jacket is high-quality silicone and between that and the many tiny strands of real copper wire this cable is super-flexible (floppy even). The silicone resists soldering temperatures without burning, melting, or shrinking back from the end. The wires are tinned over copper so they look like aluminum but they are definitely copper under the tin.
