Great paint-it-yourself birdhouse.
Good construction. My wife is an artist and she painted it delightfully with dragonflys, ladybugs, cardinals, robins, ad flowers against a background of a sky filled with white clouds. We mounted it on a window facing the backyard and it was immediately occupied by a family of finches.

Very Well Designed
We bought this for our daughter as we have birds that build nest in our yard and even on our porch in certain places every year. One year a baby bird fell out of the nest and we were able to place it back in with ease - we thought this way they might be safe. We placed it on our front window and leave the curtains closed - still no birds but its still early in the nest making stage - we are hoping it will work, if not there is always next year. Still a great product and very well made, love that it has more suction cups and gives great directions on installing it.

Nice construction...
... but I'd preferred it be lacquered so I wouldn't have to have done it myself. If you don't, it'll rot in a few years. Also, if you don't want to take the chance of little birdlettes dying in a horrible fall, invest in a spring-loaded window rod to place directly beneath it so it doesn't put a lot of stress on the oftentimes unreliable suction cups. Or put it on top of a ledge on your window sill. When the whole family is home, it gets heavy in there.

Window Nest Box
No birds yet! Probably won't happen until next year. I was disappointed there was no film or means of blocking the back wall of the bird feeder to provide some privacy for the birds; I thought there was some sort of two-way film for that. Otherwise, the product is sturdy, is secure on my window. I am going to look for something to block the back wall and hope for residents next summer.

beautiful window nest box
This is beautifully made and was shipped very promptly. I can't wait to watch some baby birds grow up. People that are saying that your birds left, you need to read about the product. Birds do need their privacy. You have to purchase the one way frame separately. I urge you to purchase the frame before you put up the bird house, cause if a bird builds their nest in it and gets spooked they will leave the babies and the babies will die. Please pay attention before purchasing stuff. This doesn't come with the one way frame. Don't deprive the sellers of ratings because you neglect to read about what is included. I hope you all enjoy your bird houses as much as I do.

This is SUCH a great idea and I was hoping to show my daughter ...
The hole was too small for any bird to enter! The wood was splintering off in several locations and unfinished. Also, there was a piece of instructional paper stapled to it leaving two sets of punctures on the front and I will never understand why. This is SUCH a great idea and I was hoping to show my daughter how a nest works but the money I would have to put in to fixing all of the problems makes this a huge issue.

-) Its amazing how the tiny birds can build such an intricate ...
I put this up on the outside of the bathroom window which has a window shade inside so as not to disturb the birdie. It took about 3-4 weeks before a "tenant" moved in. Everyone was skeptical but now they have to eat their words because a little wren has built a nest and if we carefully open the shades a little, you can watch her while you sit on the toilet:-) Its amazing how the tiny birds can build such an intricate nest. The grandchildren were absolutely delighted to watch as she would peek her little head in and cock it to the side to look at them. Can't tell if she has laid her eggs yet but we are keeping a close watch for little chicks soon.

Rather lame
Cool idea, yet the whole thing fell due to the failure of the suction cups. After seeing that I would never risk the lives of chicks in order to possibly see them. Anyone who buys one of these should probably add some safety wire and hang it as well as using the suction cups. I like the concept, yet this fails and this was on brand new windows that were very clean.

Looks is good
A little smaller but okay, I encourage the manufacturer to make a little bigger size from inside.
