LEKEYE Detachable Drain Defender

Perfect! I had a silicone hair catcher before but it was hard to clean and got clogged with conditioner just as much as hair since it had to be thick enough to hold a shape. This one only traps hair and anything bigger than the holes and I like the low profile so I don't accidentally kick it. Easy enough to clean in one piece but the center does come out and the little handle is nice so I don't have to pick it up by gross parts.

Works very well. I prefer these over the plastic or silicone ones. Does an excellent job at stopping the hair from going down. It is a little difficult to clean, but thats what is expected with a quality hair catcher. We have thick, asian hair. Even when completely full of hair, on hair wash day, the water easily drains. Way better than having to stop and clean it out mid-shower! We have it installed in a regular porcelain tub. I did not take measurements of anything before purchasing. Works great!!

This is a good quality product. It fits better than the original drain cover that always slid around. We are using it in a heavily used shower and I can't believe the amount of hair it is catching. I haven't had to unscrew or clean the little basket, because it catches everything before it gets there. The basket has a lot of thread to it, so it is not likely to ever unscrew itself and fall into the drain. It's not slowing the drainage down at all. It is eliminating the need to clean out the drain. It's going to pay for itself over time. It's also keeping the hair dissolving chemicals out of the environment. Whoever invented this thing deserves to be cruising the Caribbean on a huge yacht!

I really love this drain trap, from the first time that opened the box. It was shiny and lush and would add a sort of richness and glamour to my bathtub. I just thought the appearance and quality was great! It's sort of like an art piece, rather than those plain ugly drain plugs, strainers, traps. Also, it does an awesome job at trapping the hair - it's either trapped around the flat outer edge or contained within the inside strainer. It's also really easy to remove the hair because the hair is usually in a cluster and you can easily remove it all at once. I also like the little metal clip that makes it easy to remove the strainer from the drain. It's also easy to clean and shines right up after washing it with some soap and water. Also, it doesn't have any suction or anything - it just rests within the tub drain, but it stays in place and it catches a lot of hair. The one thing that I don't like is that it gets moldy quickly beneath the the top part and rubber rim. I'm constantly cleaning my tub and drain, but it'll get mold after just a day, and I try to make sure that all of the water is down the drain and then replace the strainer so water isn't just sitting beneath it, but I think the only solution is to completely dry the drain area and the strainer, but that is not feasible. They should use a mold-repellant rubber or something - or maybe there is spray that can be used on bath products such as this to repel the mold for a longer time. Other than that, this is a great product and I definitely recommend.

This drain trap is much sturdier than the rubber ones I have used for years, and it looks so much cleaner. In addition, it’s simpler to remove the hair from the trap itself.

Material Quality - Good Hair trap performance - Good Ease of use- Poor The drain hair catcher is 4.44" in diameter and perfectly fits in my standing shower. It can also hold short hair and works perfectly well. But if you would like to unclog/remove hair stuck in the drain cup then it would be bit of a challenge. First, you would need to completely pull out the drain protector with a weak wire type clip and unscrew the bottom cup to clean it. After usage for a couple of times, the drain cover definitely becomes a messy and to hold it to clean, would be very unpleasant.

I’ve had this drain cover thing for almost 2 years now. It looks as it did the day we bought it. It’s held up SO WELL! WORTH THE MONEY! It’s constantly wet because it’s in a shower, but it literally has zero tarnish. It fits the drain perfectly, is easy to unscrew and install/clean. It also does clean and wipe easy. Worth the money. Impressive.

Well made and does the job well

This is a game changer. I am the one (self-appointed) who cleans the shower traps, which are always badly designed so that hair and gunk conspire to be really difficult and unpleasant to remove. This well-made, thoughtfully designed trap separates gunk and hair. You wipe off the hair from it and the trap below is easier to clean. I am using it on a French shower, don’t know if uk traps are the same size. And you can see when it needs cleaning. It is also an attractive design and shines up well so far.

Pas de petits passages ou de picots au niveau de la base de la jupe, donc il reste toujours un peu d'eau qui a tendance à ne pas s'écouler et stagner autour de la coupelle. L'autre modèle de la même marque mais en forme de dome est beaucoup plus efficace, même si moins design/discret.

Excellent quality - the brushed brass matches the colour and tone of my other fixtures perfectly, it’s heavy enough that it doesn’t move around in the drain and is super secure, and it’s easy to clean. Plus, it gets the job done - very effective at catching loose hair strands that otherwise would block my drain. Doesn’t ruin the integrity of my beautiful bathroom like bulky plastic drain covers.
