## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mobee Hits The Mark
*by D***S on July 21, 2012*

So I was hesitant on this purchase because of the bad reviews I read but I took the chance because my Magic Mouse has been getting worse with batteries this year. I have had it since 2009 and for some reason it is using more juice now.I just got the Mobee 2 days ago. I had no issues at all seating the charger into my mouse as many have alluded to. It doesn't fit perfectly, but with 1 firm push it clipped securely in place. I plugged the charger in and placed my mouse on it and got the red light that would blink red then go steady red and sometimes flicker red. I remember reading some reviews about that. Well.. I plugged it into a USB hub. Once I plugged it directly into my iMac light turned green and in a few hours I was using my mouse. I also read some people had to click like mad to get the mouse to connect to the Mac. My mouse would do that anyway so I couldn't blame the Mobee. It actually connected faster than it did when I would swap out the batteries. The thing I love MOST is that I if I walk away form my desk I can put the mouse on the Mobee to charge, I can leave the mouse on all the time and when I take it off the Mobee it doesn't lose the connection with the Mac, so great! So all in all I give this thing 5 starts because I feel it has already saved me a TON of time. Could the charger fit a little better in the mouse, sure, but I don't feel that was worth taling a star off. Packaging was very nice and "Apple" looking and product hits the mark.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great replacement for replacement batteries
*by A***A on December 14, 2012*

I use a Magic Mouse at work (and only there) and my company is a bit stingy about office supplies so finding replacement batteries for my mouse was always a hassle. I stumbled across the Mobee while looking into rechargeables and I'm very happy with the purchase. The charging base is small and unobtrusive and is just the right size to hold my Magic Mouse while it's charging. It's very light, so it can move around a bit but since I have it pushed up against a cube wall this isn't an issue. The battery pack itself is, as you would expect, not quite as powerful as a set of alkaline batteries would be. I was hoping to get a full business week from a charge so I'd only have to remember to charge it on Fridays but I usually fall a day or two short of this goal. A quick charge at lunch is usually enough to get me through the end of the day and it easily charges completely overnight.A nice bonus because of the way the technology works is that if you do run the battery dry you can take it out and charge it directly on the base and continue to use the mouse with a set of standard batteries. One quibble that I'm not sure I can lay at the Mobee's door is that my MacBook Pro is all over the place on it's estimates of the mouse's power reserves. It will often report the battery to be near death and then if I power cycle the mouse I'm back at nearly a full charge. All in all, if you use a Magic Mouse, this is a great way to get away from replacing batteries.

### ⭐⭐ A great concept but works poorly
*by P***S on April 4, 2014*

This was a tuff product to rate. The only thing I dont like about the wireless mouse that came with my imac is that it uses a lot of batteries. As a former recycling manager, I hate going through all the batteries. Especially when there is no good way, that I have found, to recycle them. I found some places that will recycle, but you have to pay to do it.Back to the charger. When I 1st got this, I was very excited. I installed it, which was very easy. Simply take out the batteries and in goes the re-chargable battery pack. What I could not find in the documation, which was very very limited, was what the lights on the charger meant, and when to charge the mouse. Some re-chargable batters have memories. If you charge them when they are not fully discharged, they remember this. The next time you charge them, they will put that partial charge in the batteries but show it as a full charge.I decided to let the batteries fully discharge before placing it on the charger. The 1st time I placed the mouse on the charger, it did not charge. Not only did it not charge, but it seemed to go in reverse. it was sucking the charge out of the batteries.I cant get any tech support from the company on this. The only way I can get the batteries to charge is to remove the battery pack from the mouse and place it directly on the charger.I let them charge up on the way, which by the way only shows 80%, which they say (I found out by googling this) is normal. They claim its a problem with the way that the mouse communicates with the OS.Once it was charged, I put the battery pack back in the mouse. Once I got it to connect again, I was off and running. But the charge seemed to dissipate very quickly. A lot quicker than it did with normal batteries.I filed a claim with the company that it was defective. I heard nothing from several days. So i filed an A-Z claim. Still nothing for several days.I fired up a chat with Amazon and was told that the company was under investigation. I was told that I would be contacted soon with a resolution. Sure to Amazons word, I received an email in a couple days from Amazon that I had been refunded for the purchase. Not a word from the actual seller. So Seller. I will give the actual product a D because it sort of works, but not like it is supposed to. Amazon as usual, get an A. Oh by the way. I read another review that said something about needing to put the charger or a wood surface and not metal. Yep, by desk is wood. No idea why the charger would suck out the charge from the batteries instead of putting a charge into them.
