No complaints after two weeks. Will update if something changes Review: Amazing Support and Great Results - I buy a lot of stuff. With the increase in products being sold directly by Chinese companies, I've noticed that manufacturers simply refuse to honor warranties and there is absolutely no recourse for the consumer. This meter is an excellent meter and if you know the cost of most irrometers, you'll recognize it is at a great price. I have one defective meter out of six and Blumat replaced for me. No going back and forth until the warranty period ends. No asking me to write a positive review first. This is a good product from a great company sold at a great price. update on: 2/1/2019: I bought another one of your moisture sensor, and will get more. I love using them. they have totally changed my watering habits. More for my beds and far less for all the in ground stuff. My home’s water usage started going down as soon as I put the first one in, and our vegetable beds are doing so much better. I’m also reducing the risk of root rot with the avocado trees as I reduced winter watering by 90% relative to a year ago and I water about 25% more during the summer. I had thought our four avocado trees were doing well before, but they are doing even better now Less salt accumulation, so less brown tips. This means less leaves falling off this month. The flower buds are already coming in in massive numbers. I'm anticipating a good fruit set this spring. ## Features - SIMPLE/USER-FRIENDLY- Simply insert the soil thermometer into the soil. Most below used them for all-summer one-plant placement. Will it do my way?** A: Yes you can do it your way but it is not instantaneous. Certain criteria have to be met for it to read accurately and it has to settle in for a few hours.I keep it in one location to act as the "base" then I use then I use the $7.00 ones you get at Walmart. I compare where the cheap ones are reading in comparison to the Blumat then I test the pots or areas I want to check. **Q: Just got my Blumat 50205. The instructions do not say whether to leave the water in the tube or pour it out ?** A: Yes, just like with a regular Blumat sensor, they always need to be full of water. And when you soak it, be sure to only soak the bottom part - if you soak the top it can stop the meter from working properly. **Q: Will this product work accurately with potted houseplants? Is there a minimum soil depth for accurate readings?** A: The Meter will work in all soil/soilless media. the ceramic tip should be placed at about the level of the root system, which varies depending on plant and pot. **Q: is this item durable, can it be left in ground all summer for newly planted 7 foot Technys ?** A: Yes you can leave it in the ground all summer, mine has been in soil for 6 months so far with no problems. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My plants look happier not just happy *by C***G on July 30, 2026* So far so good, I know exactly when my soil needs water. Oh, well, no biggie, except that the moisture meter doesn't work. It's readings are all over the place and after speaking with Blumat customer service it was determined that I received a faulty item in need of recalibration. Well it's been less than a month so it can just be returned. Disappointing. But investing in an Irrometer is probably better anyway. ## Frequently Bought Together - Blumat Digital Soil Moisture Meter for Plants - Accurate Soil Moisture Sensor for Optimal Plant Care and Irrigation System Calibration - Advanced Water Meter for Gardening - Blumat Drip Irrigation System - Tropf Medium Box Automatic Plant Watering Devices for Garden, Patio and Hanging Baskets - Garden Watering System Up to 12 Plants - Effortless Hydration - 12 Pack - Blumat 8mm Shutoff Valve for Blumat Watering Systems | Garden Line Purge and Shut Off Valve for Blumat Water Hose | Blumat Garden Accessory Connect to Superflex Hose --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/14835619-blumat-accurate-soil-moisture-meter-water-indicator-with-cap-indoor](https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/14835619-blumat-accurate-soil-moisture-meter-water-indicator-with-cap-indoor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Saudi Arabia* *Store origin: SA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
