Review: Good quality. - Well made and appears to be built to last. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this timer works, it's taken a bit of trial and error to get the exact cooking amount I want, perfect result every time now.
Review: All very good. - Received this morning and have already done three eggs of various cooking times. Marked indicator soft boiled - A little too soft for my personal liking, (egg white was a little too underdone) However there are two settings between each marked level, so next time I’ll just go up one notch. Marked indicator medium boiled - Spot on. Egg white fully cooked with yolk still a little gooey right in the centre. Marked indicator hard boiled - Perfect. Egg white and yolk fully cooked with no greeny greying of the outer surface (which happens when eggs get over cooked). Very simple to use. Nice spike lock function so you don’t accidentally stab yourself if you pick it up in a rush when say cleaning. Good beeper.

**Q: Does this make a timer noise when done?**
A: Yes.  I love this little timer.  I carry it with me to another room if I am afraid I will miss the sound when my eggs are done.

**Q: is the pin or puncture hole visible? I believe that I may have received a unit without a piercing pin.**
A: You don’t see the pin. You sit the egg on top and push down and then the pin comes up and punctures the egg. You don’t see it. You can feel it puncture and see the hole it makes in the egg.

**Q: Mine didn't come with instructions. Do you get the water boiling first and then add the egg and start the timer?**
A: Yes. Boil your water, add the eggs, and start your timer. This will be one of the best kitchen aids you've bought. I love mine. My eggs come out perfect everytime.

**Q: What is the exact time range for the timer?**
A: I don’t know the exact time. But I have used it to make large, extra large, and jumbo they all came perfectly. The timer goes by the size of the egg and how hard the eggs are cooked. Soft to hard

Doesn't cook soft yolk eggs. I tried numerous times- the yolk cooks faster than the white. For scrambled eggs it's great though, so I've kept it gor that.
