The extension is only for a single switch, we do not have a double switch version. Respectfully, Customer Care **Q: how far down does this extend? My little one is very tiny and all the other ones I can find are only extend down 12 inches** A: It's about 12 inches. My 2 year old can barely reach it. He can pull it to turn it off but isn't tall enough to push it up to turn it on. He is a little below average height though. **Q: does this work for a dimmer** A: I would say no. It screws onto the light switch plate and fits perfectly around the switch. It moves the flicker/switch up and down. It is basically on and off just at a lower to reach level. **Q: How wide of a toggle switch can the cutout handle? We have an older home (80 years), and the older version toggle switches are significantly wider.** A: I don't think it would work for you since your switches are wider. The cutout has a pretty snug fit to a standard switch. I measured mine and it's 1/4 of an inch. I wouldn't have thought about the fact that even during the day you need the glow in the dark for the kids to see the pully-thing.It hangs down just low enough so our 2, almost 3 year old grabs it perfect. At first he could only pull down and it only took a week and he was going up and down with it and in that independent phase, he absolutely loves the autonomy he has of being able to turn on and off the light and not needing us to do it for him. He still needs a little stool to do it, but for him that is fine just something extra to be proud of. Just take out existing flat head screws, place the extender over the switch, and then screw I'm using the provided screws.Pros: definitely solved giving my toddler, who always wants the lights off, a way to turn them off and on as he pleases. They glow in the dark. The handle (moon) is very comfortable to grab. It's thick with soft round edges. The switch is also still accessible for adults to use if they want.Cons: some of our switches I had to just barely screw in the provided screws or else it was really tight and would have been difficult for our son. I'm going to have to check the screws more than I'd like to make sure they aren't getting loose. It's okay after some practice but at first my son had a hard time pushing it back up for on.
