## Description

Fino’s number 2-size Pour-Over Coffee Brewing Cone is designed to brew 2 to 6 servings of the best tasting coffee using the pour over coffee brewing method. Brewing coffee in smaller amounts results in a more aromatic, flavorful brew, with every single cup without stale, burnt, or wasted coffee. The pour-over coffee brewing method allows complete control over quality and flavor. This time-tested Japanese coffee brewing method of pouring a slow, steady stream of water over ground coffee is practiced by coffee lovers worldwide for its distinct, flavorful results. Fino’s Coffee Brewing Cone is non-breakable and easy to use so a perfect cup of coffee can be brewed at home or when traveling. Simply place the Coffee Brewing Cone over a mug, pot, or carafe. Insert a disposable or reusable coffee filter and measure in medium-ground coffee. Wet the grinds slightly with just-boiled water, wait 30 seconds, slowly pour the remaining hot water, allow coffee to finish dripping, and enjoy. Made from BPA-free polypropylene, it’s dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. Look for Fino's reusable or disposable coffee filters (sold separately). Brought to you by HIC-Harold Import Company.

Review: Convenient and inexpensive - Good quality cone for pour over coffee. Very convenient for when someone wants just one more cup after the pot has run out or to take when you travel. This has 3 holes in the bottom so it can drain very quickly. Usually takes the #2 filter but in a pinch the #4 will work too. I am the type of person that does not just flood the cone with hot water and then let it drain. I like to put small amounts of water just enough to cover the coffee so that all the water flows through the maximum of the coffee grounds instead of filling with water and having coffee grounds left along the sides of the filter as it drains out. Only drawback, which wasn't even an issue until I bought another style, is that the base covers the whole bottom with no hole to see how full the cup is getting. You have to lift it up to check how filled the cup is. Another style I have recently purchased has a hole that allows you to see into the cup without lifting it up. Problem with that one is it only has one hole to drain. A combo of the two would be a great mash up.
Review: It works. - I've had these off and on throughout my life and they are a great way to make coffee for just one person. A scoop or two of coffee in the filter you put in it, then hot water, and you have a perfect cup of coffee with not mess. Have used this or a variant of this as a student, visiting noncoffee drinkers, as a gift, etc. Great, functional idea.

**Q: How many holes does the filter have?**
A: Hello!
My name is Jessica, an employee at HIC Harold Import Co. Thank you for inquiring about the HIC Coffee Filter Cone, Red, Number 2-Size Filer, Brews 2 to 6-Cups! In regards to your question, the filter has 4 holes on the bottom! Please feel free to contact me at jpetrecca@haroldimport.com with any other questions or concern about this product. Hope this was helpful!

**Q: This may seem like a crazy question but this is very interesting but how do i use this?**
A: Although is says #1 on the packaging... it is really a #2 cone filter you will want to use.

Simply place the filter cone on top of an empty mug, place a #2 filter element into the cone, add ground coffee to taste ( I use 1 1/2 tablespoon per 10 Oz), then very slowly pour boiling water into cone and over grounds...it will drip into the mug. It's best to do about 3 slow pours versus all at once...better flavor and it allows you to check the level in the mug as you go. There are tutorials for various techniques on YouTube if you're inclined. Enjoy!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yes, even after you add the cost of shipping, it is still worth it!

I have had one of these single-cup coffee drip dispensers for a long time. It uses a standard #2 paper filter, but I use #4 filters instead, since they are cheaper (but the #4 filter will stick up a bit past the top edge of this cone). It is still going strong after almost ten years, and I wash it every month or so on the top rack of my dishwasher. I decided to get another one, since it is hard to find good functional products like this anymore. It has FOUR holes in the bottom that allow for quick, even draining of the water after you pour it over the grounds. I use about 20 to 30 grams of ground coffee to make a 12 to 18 ounce cup of coffee. I have used both store-bought ground coffee (in the past) and now fresh ground coffee (I grind the beans finely, so the 4 holes on the bottom help keep the water flowing through properly). This cone will fit on top of large and small cups alike: the outer diameter of the base is 4.75 inches, which means it will fit quite comfortably on a cup that has a top diameter of 4.5 inches, and the inside diameter (where the coffee seeps through) is only 2 inches in diameter, which means it will fit on *any* cup with a top diameter between 2.25 inches and 4.5 inches. The base, excepting the 4 holes, is solid, so VERY LITTLE HEAT ESCAPES from your cup while the cone is on top of it and the water is still seeping through. Anyway, other cones designed for one cup all have various drawbacks: some have bottoms with unnecessary, non-functional grooves that allow heat to escape, or there is only one big hole for the coffee to go through and the water spends too much time in the grounds making the coffee bitter, or you have to pour just a little bit of water over the grounds at a time, or the hole is really big or there are too many smaller holes and the water goes through too quickly providing a weaker brew (or requiring the use of more grounds), or some other poorly thought-out design flaw. And cones made of ceramic are heavy and could topple lighter-weight or taller cups. I saw that this item goes out-of-stock from time to time, and wanted a backup in case I ever lose the one I have been using (without a hitch, I might add). I recommend you buy one before this particular design becomes extinct. EDIT: I forgot to add that the very bottom of this cone extends a mere 3/8 inches into the cup you place it on, reducing the likelihood of the brewed coffee coming into contact with the plastic (unless you pour too much water into the cone and don't monitor it as it seeps through) and also making it unlikely that you will spill the grounds when you whisk the cone away after brewing.
