My assistant was using just water to begin with, but even that removed the outer color. I also wished the backing was a little more durable...I thought it would be a flannel backing as on most vinyl tablecloths. I did like that they have some elastic around the entire covering...and they fit the tables, so I ordered four more for a grand total of eight. I hope they will hold up over time as I think for the money, they should. I saw these and was thrilled to find a fitted tablecloth to try and dress my tables up at least a little bit. When they showed up though, I was pretty unimpressed. The quality itself wasn’t too bad, but they just didn’t fit my standard sized tables very well at all. It was lumps for days. I used them for Christmas Eve & Christmas dinner, then they went in the trash.
