Good bit of kit

The pump and the electronic adjustment are great but that cage is absolutely junk. I tried a screw, two, not enough material too screw into, I tried glue, didn't stick to what ever plastic this is, tried epoxy but the had to break the cage to clean pump out. I am currently running the pump without the cage and just back flushing every few days to clear the debris. During the summer it wasn't so bad but now that the leaves are falling it is clogging often, which would happen with or without the cage

The evolution aqua various is an outstanding piece of kit. Excellent quality product with a proven track record. Works very well in a variety of set ups. Highly Recommend.

I wanted a pump to return water from my gravity fed easy pod filter to my pond It is just what I wanted being fully adjustable on flow and able to house outside the pond.

I had a slight problem with the product which was very quickly rectified by the seller. I was very impressed with their customer service.

No fault of the sellers or Amazons, this pond pump is not of suitable quality. I have had Evolution Aqua products, including Evo55 UV and Easypod filter for years so when my trusty Blagdon pump expired after 10 years constant use, I thought I'd also buy an EA pump. The first issue was that I could not get any of my 1.5inch pipe to fit any of the fittings, used all the tricks known to an experienced pond owner. Could not get 38mm to fit but 40mm pipe does fit but too loose so cannot be done up tight enough so it does not leak everywhere. Upon putting it into the pond, the filter cage that covers the inlet comes off far too easily and sinks. Thankfully owing to the great effort of the Blagdon pump (RIP) the pond in clear so was able to see it to fish it out of the six foot deep bit (twice). This needs to be a firmer fit, made a screw, not just an light interference fit. Reckon even if I managed to get it into the pond attached, my boisterous carp would have it off it no time leaving the blades exposed. Pulling it out again, the flimsy handle snapped off, its attached by about a 3mm joint on the base and a tiny screw which just pulled out because it was not strong enough. The control unit is very well made and sturdy, the pump, cheap and nasty. Have ordered another Blagdon and am sending this back.

Fantastic service

Amazing pump so far and I love the customization with the flow rates. Much better than the old pump I had with only 3 flow settings. I was able to dial this in perfectly to get the exact flow rate needed for my Evolution Aqua EazyPod filter at the setting of 48, it’s giving me 1320 gals/hr into the filter housing.
