Has been used on new paddocks which had quite a lot of ragworted in them when we took them over, not even showing any signs of wear and it's had a lot of hours use. Only downside is the prongs aren't very sharp, so on our paddocks which are rock hard in this weather, getting it to go into the ground was tough at times. We finished the last paddock after a bit of rain and it was much easier for us, the ground was still firm but not "baked hard". This tool should last us for years as it's so sturdy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thistles be gone! *by P***P on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 April 2015* I actually bought it to dig up thistles due to the rules coming in later this year and it seemed alot cheaper than £600 minimum that i would need to get myself registered to spray my own land. It is good and i have managed to pull up some thistles, but the little blighters need to be a certain size. Too small and it can't grab them, too big and you leave a big whopping hole in the field. Unfortunately thistles have a tendency to reproduce faster than i can pull! However, i will persevere and continue to pull. Excellent fork sturdy only problem handle was not red but black. If you have never got ragwort out I think a red handle can be important if you misplace the fork in the field you can spot the red easily amongst the yellow plants.
