Overall i’ve noticed a huge reduction in algae since adding this to my pond maintenance schedule. It’s June now so i’m sprinkling a little bit in every other day and algaefix every 3 days. I’m in Florida and this will probably go on till October when the heat and sun let up a bit. But this is huge volume and the first tub lasted almost a whole year of constant use. A super self discovered secret is mix 2 parts liquid bacteria above with one part pond zyme to make a cookie dough consistency. Roll it into a ball and drop or toss into pond directly into dirtiest sludge spots in the bottom of your pond. We use this technique in show ponds at a pond outfitter. Tried and true for over the last year. Unplug this UV’s for at least a day. You can substitute half barley extract if you’re having an issue with string algae. I then supplement with whatever remaining liquid you need to add for the size of your pond. **Q: I have a 600g pond. I dosed it last night. Water is still black. How long does this take to clear water?** A: I was not a fan of this products performance. I've not had Black problems before, but lots of Green especially in Spring.
