Review: Vpedals with itunes - It was a bit tricky to figure out the pedals for reversing when used with iTunes but overall it works great. Easy to set up. And if it stops responding just go into the vpedals app and reset to iTunes. It defaults to quick player when your computer turns back on. I am using it in a MacBook air

**Q: Does it need special software to use digital video saved on a USB flash drive?  If so what do I need? thanks. LS**
A: I'm using the Vpedal on a Mac Computer. I use it to transcribe interviews I shoot on broadcast cameras. I use QuickTime player to view and transcribe the interviews. There was no special software, other than: QuickTime player (which comes free with the mac computer) And the driver for the Vpedal (I downloaded the control panel driver from the Vpedal website for free). My videos were not on USB flash drives, I copied them from the camera into my hard drive. I would think as long as you are able to play the videos in QuickTime, I don't think the Vpedal care if they are on USB FLash drive or on the computer. If you have a PC, then disregard my comments, as I have not used it on a PC

**Q: Does the vpedal work with vlc video software for the mac?**
A: Yes, complimentary OMNI plug-in is available from Vpedal with allow communication with VLC software.  Setup instructions also available.  10 sec - fast forward / rewind are hard coded into VLC and are not adjustable.

**Q: Will this pedal work with Windows Media Player?**
A: It doesn't work with Windows Media Player...at least not when I tried to hook it up. It works well with Express Scribe software though:)

**Q: Can i stop/start itunes in background while typing into ms word file? need to transcribe family oral history. running mac os 10.11.6.**
A: Yes, you can stop/start itunes as often as you can, while you use this transcription foot pedal. Let me know if that helps.

### ⭐ DOESN’T WORK WITH MACBOOK PRO, RETURNED **WARNING HUGE RE-STOCKING FEE ON RETURNS!**

There were zero instructions packaged with the product. Had to hunt web for location to download software, and once that was done it still did not work for me so I returned it. The device is not very sturdy, just cheap plastic with the back open. The seller was prompt in replying to my request for refund, and claimed that no one had ever not had one work. On another negative note, my refund was substantially reduced because of a ~US$ 24 “restocking fee,” which I felt was excessive. Note to seller: it’s dinging buyers with fees like these (never in my extensive purchase history with Amazon have I been hit with one of those!) will lead to 1-star reviews like mine, and a warning to other buyers to avoid buying from your company.
