Great rear replacement sight for Ithaca 37 Turkey Slayer
The TruGlo designed for the Ithaca Deer Slayer is discontinued. While looking for a replacement rear sight for a Turkey Slayer that used TruGlo, I found and bought an exact match for a NOS Winchester 1300 slug gun. However it used red fiber optics instead of green which made seeing the front read sight quickly…impossible. While looking for an alternative, I found this with the same size dovetail. It fit perfectly and has almost the same exact sight height as well.

Gift purchase
Bought as a gift. It's exactly what my uncle asked for, so I can only assume it's a good purchase.

Nice replacement sights. Fits my 336Y
The sights took a day longer to ship than expected but not a huge deal. Marlin factory sights aren't all that great. They were relatively easy to install. The front sight fiber optic seemed a bit fragile so I put the hood back on. All in all they look pretty good. Now to go sight it in and have a little fun.

Cheap junk
I put this on a Winchester model 94. Although everything fit perfectly, with a little filing on the front site. I barrel sighted it and then took it to the range. Front site was way to short and had to order a .500. I origanly had a .343. After one adjustment on the rear windage and you could literally move the sight with your fingers even after it was locked down. Lock down screw is way to small and will not hold. The elevation on the sight is just a cheap screw also that sets against the barrel and pushes the site up/down. Not much adjustment there. You really have to make sure you match up the right size on your front sight. Now I know why it was so cheap cost wise, cause it is very cheaply made. Save your money and go with something different. I went back to a diamond point rear sight with a fiber front site and that works fine. rear site is junk on this.

Must have sight upgade
Great sights from TruGlo. Installation was fairly simple with a Wheeler hammer and punch set. The front sight was very tight but did not need to be filed to fit. The rear sight went in fairly easy. Much easier to see than the stock semi buckhorn sights and the contrasted colors make it easier to pick up the front sight quickly.

Front sight didn’t fit on Marlin 30AS.
Front sight did not fit on 80s model Marlin 30as. Bought this because I lost the factory ramp on the rear sight of my 3030. Back sight was perfect fit. Front sight is too long and wouldn’t go in due to contact with the front barrel/magazine band. Didn’t need the new front anyways so I just left the old one on. I have two other brands of lever guns with truglos on themAnd they all went on perfect.

Apologies to Amaazon
First of all I apologize to Amazon for the nasty Email, the parts did finally get here! For those having trouble with their front sight, place a block of wood or homosote under the sight holder for support. Then when the sight binds about half way through, tap it back out and examine the bottom. It will most likely have a burr on it and you will notice that the dove tail is slightly beveled. take a fine file and knock the burr off, then one or two LIGHT passes with the file and the sight should go in. The base is wider on the tru_glo than stock. I'd also recommend that you do this over light colored (white is best) flooring and work area in case you drop one of the tiny screws like I did (twice).

Works!
A little tricky to install. But a huge improvement over the stock sights that were barely visible in the best of light. While I don’t mind scoped 30-30 lever actions, I want to keep this one traditional. Just needed a better sight system. This will work for the beater Marlin I use but I would probably put something nicer on a ‘94 or a higher grade lever action. Still, awesome for what it is.
