We first purchased this about 5 years ago. We loved it and it stood up very well to years of daily use yet remained clear and looked great. It’s so nice and thick that it protects the wood and table cloths beneath it perfectly. While shipped in a large roll, it quickly flattens out after a few hours and fit the table perfectly - The size was exactly as ordered. We loved it and how it’s so thick and stays nicely in place on the table. While it survived thousands of meals and projects preformed on that table, it could not survive a mother-in-law’s brightly colored reusable holiday bag and we ended up with a perfect copy of the colors and patterns of the bag she left sitting on the table for just a few minutes. There must be some new type of printing process going on as we never experienced anything like this in the prior 5 years, but those color dyes were transferred in to the plastic and would not come out with any cleaners. The new one looks just as good as the original, and retains the nice thick, heavy plastic we loved all those years. And we now know to NOT let people throw their brightly colored plastic bags on our dinning table!

This item is perfect! I am so happy with this item. The packaging was secure and easy to open. This item is being used as a desk protector at work and it works great. It’s not too thick, nor too thin. It’s just right. After I unrolled it, I didn’t have a problem setting things on top of the clear table protector and it stabilizing flat on the desk. Initially, I was skeptical about this product, but I decided to give it a try. When I put it on my table, I was really impressed with how good it looked and how well it would protect my dining surface. I was pleased with how quickly it arrived, and the quality is excellent. As you can see in my picture, the thickness is decent, and since my table measures 44 by 108 inches, I thought I might have to cut it to fit. However, it turned out to be a perfect fit, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

I purchased the 40 x 78 inch clear table protector for my large wooden dining table to keep it safe from scratches, spills, and daily wear. The packaging was secure and the product arrived safely with no strong odor, which I appreciate for a PVC product. Installation & Fit: Unrolling the mat took some patience, as it naturally had some curl from being tightly packaged. After laying it flat overnight, most of the curl relaxed. The size was accurate and provided end-to-end coverage on my table. I trimmed a small edge with scissors for an exact custom fit. Performance: The 1.5mm thickness feels sturdy without being overly heavy or rigid. It stays put, doesn’t slide much, and offers a smooth, glass-like top that’s barely visible. Liquids bead right up and wipe away easily—testing with coffee and water left absolutely no stains. Even after a week of heavy use by kids and adults (arts, meals, homework), there are no marks or scratches. It also dampens sound, which is a bonus for glass or wooden surfaces. Look & Feel: Being clear, it doesn’t hide the natural grain of my table but still gives great protection. Under certain lighting, you may see minor air bubbles, but they’re easy to smooth out. If your tabletop is glass or high-gloss, bubbles may be more noticeable, so keep that in mind. Tips: If the protector is too large, it’s easily trimmed with regular scissors. To relax curl, lay flat in a warm room or apply a little blow dryer heat carefully. Works well as a desk pad or kids’ craft mat, too. For the cleanest look on shiny surfaces, consider a frosted version to hide more bubbles. I purchased this protector for my wfh desk and it’s held up perfectly for 9 months now. I’m purchasing another one today for my husband’s desk. I like the quality of the plastic and how clear it is.

When I wanted to get this table my husband was worried about it being the textured groove wood instead of flat because with having 3 kids it'll be harder to clean when food and other things get smashed in it. I liked it a lot and it was a decent price so I chose to be blind to the cold hard truth that deep down inside I knew that would most likely happen. I also figured I could use place mats that they can eat on to avoid that happening. Within a months time one of my kids used a wipe to try and scrub out something sticky that had gotten on it and the wood got ruined in that spot. (See 1st picture). I then decided to use a table cloth which I don't like table cloths and my kids would always use the part that hung down as a napkin. So after a year or so I started looking into heavy glass to put on top but the cheapest I could find was about $400, which is like half the cost of my table that is already slightly damaged so I didn't want to spend that kind of money unless it's a brand new table which we are going to wait until the kids are older to buy a new one. I came across this and decided it's worth a try, most reviews are good. I put it on yesterday afternoon and it did curl at the ends but the note on it said I can use a blow dryer so I figured I'd put a couple heavy things on the end to flatten and use the blow dryer later on that night. By then the curls were already flattened so I didn't need to use the blow dryer. There was still a few ripples in it but I figured I'll wait to see if they go down too which by the next morning they were gone. I am really glad I went with this. It looks good (better in person than in my pics), it's thick enough to be sturdy, and it doesn't slide which I was worried about. My kids already made slime while sitting at the table earlier, so lucky me I got to test out cleaning a big mess on the cover within the first 24 hrs. There was many pieces of both tiny and big slime globs that were stuck to it, wet baking soda, about 9 shades of food coloring, and last but not least, mass amounts of smeared glue all over it. I said to myself, if the cover can be easy to clean after all this, I'm confident it can handle pretty much anything, and it was easy to clean and looked brand new again after! I was going to wait a few days to review but I think I can confidently say I love it and am so glad I got it. This is a long review so if you made it through, congrats! I read the reviews but nothing had me completely sold and for $80 I wanted to read stuff that had me feeling confident, so since I didn't get to feel that, I figured the least I can do is leave a thorough review for the next person in my shoes.

Seems ok for what it is. A protector for my furniture. But I just noticed this morning that there's smudges all over it. Do we put drinks in it? Yes. Do we put our feet in socks on it? Yes. But this thing is only 1 week old. And there’s smudges all over it that can’t be cleaned out.

Very happy with this unit. Nice and thick but a sharpe will leave a lasting mark.

It is thinner and floppier, and not a stiff board like than the item that is pictured. However, it is too thick to cut easily to the exact length and width of my table.

Watch my video. I expected this to arrive as a solid sheet, instead it arrived tightly rolled up. I don't think the ripples will ever come out, even after ironing. In hindsight I wished I had bought the 2mm (I bought the 1.5mm). I put a warm plate on it and it indented the plastic immediately. I considered sending it back but I do like the size match, and it does protect my table, and it's a good price point compared to glass, so I am keeping it.

Bought this to keep the table cleaner. It is very easy to clean and keeps the tablecloth in place. If you place hotter items on the plastic it becomes cloudy.

Arrived and put on table straightaway. packaging was secure. Seems to be doing job well heat resistant. is sturdy because of thickness and does not move around.
