Fantastic value for money
Purchased two of these for my kids to go to sleep away camp. Nothing is better than a large bag that can stuff 4 weeks worth of clothes, items, sunblock, bathing suits and everything in between inside. These large heavy duty canvas bags are inexpensive, are fairly durable and should out live their usefulness year after year. carrying them is an art, once full, you need to sling the large strap over your shoulder and hold the handle with the same hand the shoulder strap is over. point the bottom of the bag in front of you as you walk so you can balance the 60-70 pound load on your arm. In terms of quality its pretty well made, i've seen some of the reviews here complaining about broken grommets although I did not experience this, I feel the hardware could be a bit more durable or made of a more resilient metal/plastic. All in all for under $30 you are getting one hell of a bargain. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

Great Laundry Bag
This is the perfect laundry bag for college students! The first one I bought for my son fell apart, but this one is durable and well-made. After reading reviews, I noticed many parents got this for their kids in college too — and now I see why. It’s sturdy, great for the price, and holds a lot more than expected. My son said he can fit so much more laundry in it, which means fewer trips to the laundry room each week!

Somewhat disappointed.
I got this bag before a trip after losing my own boot camp duffle some time over the last 40 years. The size and durability were great but I was disappointed that there was only one strap that you couldn’t even tighten, which made carrying the duffle difficult. I guess I didn’t look closely enough but I HAD read the write-up description and reviews and didn’t see mention that there was only one strap. Military duffles have two straps so you can carry it hands free. I thought I’d be able to just put it on my back and go. Still worth the price. Plenty of room.

Big and great for tents
We got sick of trying to fit our tent in the flimsy bag that it came in, so wanted something big: the largest sized duffle bag, 50 inches long? Yes, please! It works great and we can store the tent and poles and stakes easily in one bag without trying to re-fold the tent twenty times, if you know what I mean. We can fold the tent or crumple it up and throw the poles and stakes in, put the four holes through the pin, clip the strap in and we're good to go. It makes us wonder why we didn't think of this or figure this out years ago. Call us stubborn. The bag itself is a medium-weight canvas material. The fabric and seams are built to last. The 30x50 size fits a six-person nylon tent easily (the 42 might've also worked, but we wanted to err on the side of having plenty of room, and we're glad that we went big). The shoulder strap is not padded, so I wouldn't want to carry the bag too far. Also, it's a single shoulder strap and single handle. (You would probably want a different duffel bag with two padded shoulder straps if you're doing any sort of hiking or portaging with it.) As a bonus, the coyote brown color is nice and seems to fit the camping theme well.

Huge bag that should last
I am 5'9, and this bag is a good size. Someone smaller may not really want this particular size, and definitely not any bigger than this. I really like the style of these duffles. I have not packed this thing to the top ever, but it will easily pack a weeks worth of clothes, plus shoes and all the other things like toiletries and such. There is no zipper on this style bag of course, it is a simple sack that you align the rings and hook through it to the other end. If you want a zipper, look elsewhere. The material should last, as it is canvas. If there is one thing I feel would fail at one point, it is the handle. If this thing is ever fully packed, all that strain on the handle would be the weak spot IMO. As I don't regularly overpack, this is not much of a problem for me, but I'd point it out for those who will stuff this to the limit. Ideal for camping, trips, trekking, travel, ect. Plenty of space, but beware the size

Great bag
This bag is very good quality; tough canvas, sturdy strap, sturdy ferrules. Simple and inexpensive. I guess I am not completely eligible to review this bag as I have not been using it to carry things around, per se. I bought the smallest size, filled it up with about 65lbs of that red lava rock garden substrate, tied off the end, and have been using it as a sandbag to work out with. In that capacity, it does the trick. A very tough bag that I don't have to worry about tearing when I pick it up, toss it around, and drop it repeatedly. Even the smallest bag is kind of large, so if you're looking to make a sandbag, I would recommend not using sand. It's either going to be really really heavy if you fill it up, or way too floppy if you don't add enough sand, hence me using the lava rocks; they take up just the right amount of volume without being unreasonably heavy. Like I said, didn't quite use the bag for its intended purpose but I'm very happy with it anyway and will probably buy another one later so I can have two sandbags of different weight! Happy shopping and happy lifting!

Dye smells incredibly bad
Ok so if you are looking for an army duffle, this canvas is half the thickness and the hardware is less sturdy. But, it’s well made for what they had to work with. I’d give it four stars, but, It reeks. I don’t mean “this thing I ordered online smells like chemicals and has to air out for a few days.” I mean “this stinks like the Boston shoreline at low tide.” I got the foliage green color and I think they actually dyed it with rancid algae. It smells way worse when it’s wet. I hand washed it, no effect. I machine washed it, some diminishment of the smell. I hand washed it again with 4x the detergent, really scrubbing it, and it’s finally ok. And, I didn’t lose a grommet and I didn’t scratch the hardware. The canvas is fine. I’ve washed out about half the color (btw the dye bleeds everywhere) but after all of it, it’s a pretty decent bag. If it were undyed I’d give it 4 stars and during all the work I swore I’d give it only 2 if it was salvageable at the end, but after all the work it’s actually ok. Some of the seams puckered up and it looks goofy, but it’s still structurally sound. But I wouldn’t buy it and put something in it out of the box if you’re expecting rain. Or even if you’re not.

Difficult to use larger size
I bought the largest size figuring the handle would be adjusted to that it accounts for the size of the bag. It doesn’t, handle is way too high up so the bag swings like a pendulum when partially full and hangs awkwardly when fully packed. It makes for a great transport back if you just need to go from house to car and pack lots for a trip. But actually shouldering the larger sized versions and walking around just feel clumsy and awkward, to the point it’s just easier to carry it like sack of potatoes.
