I am 33 years old and work out 6 days/week. I have been a sprinter and basketball player my entire life and have never had an ankle injury of any kind. A month ago, when coming down from a rebound, I landed on an opposing player's foot, and got a high ankle sprain. It swelled and felt terrible. Two weeks later, I'm feeling better and ready to give it a go. The same exact thing happens...down from a rebound, land right on someone's foot...BOOM, it swells up again. I rested another two weeks, but this time, I purchased this ASO brace (from desertcart) to try out when I played. I have over 7 hours of basketball time in (since then) and this brace has worked wonders. No pain, no restricted movement, and because it's not cumbersome, I can still wear my low top Kobe's while playing. I love this brace and will continue to wear it for the rest of my playing days. *Side Note* - The brace comes with two plastic stabilizer inserts. I did not use them with the product. Review: Good Quality Ankle Brace - I have had bad ankles for years and have tried many different braces. These work quite well and give good support while fitting into most shoes. They are a bit of a pain to lace up and then wrap the straps in a figure 8 wrap, but this also allows one to adjust them easily. Once you learn how tight or loose you need them it is not hard at all. But it will take a few minutes to get them on. If you have limited use of your hands or can't bend over easily you will need help putting them on.
