So it did say may not fit a 2008 envoy but after a review of it fitting a 2008 trailblazer I ordered it. Its kinda universal as the hole was large and had to use the provided clamp but it fit. Hope to improve gas mileage more than performance. But I have used k&n on every car i have owned. I will say for a tip keep a cheap filter on hand so when you wash the k&n you can have a filter till it dries and is re-oiled. Fitment for oem replacement make it easy to install and lifetime warranty means something for their quality.

Many years ago, I moved from a low elevation location up to a relatively high elevation location. I had a naturally aspirated motorcycle and when I would ride higher up into the mountains, my motorcycle would struggle to maintain its power level and would actually spit and sputter the higher in elevation I went. During one ride, it got so bad I actually had to remove the cloth air filter in order to make it home and when I got to the first auto parts store, I bought a K&N Air Filter for my motorcycle. It was like riding a new motorcycle and I was able to ride over the tops of the highest mountain peaks with absolutely no effects on performance. I was immediately hooked on K&N and have been using their air filters ever since. Fast forward many years and I bought a new (23 year old) vehicle that is approaching 100,000 miles and I immediately put this new K&N filter on it in celebration of 23 years and 100,000 miles. I haven't noticed any difference in fuel mileage or power level or anything like that, but I know that the vehicle is breathing easier as a result.

This K&N filter is the 4th I have installed in the last 4 cars & trucks I've owned. Even though my 4.2 liter V6 Envoy is pushing 250,000 miles the added pep and increased fuel efficiency are most definitely noticeable. I'd just completed a full tune-up and had increased my mileage by 15%. The K&N arrived about 2 weeks afterwards. While plugs & wires increased my mileage from 14.2 to 16.3 mpg, the addition of the air filter increased my mileage from 16.3 to 19.5 mpg! That's a 20% increase in efficiency. As a bonus, throttle response is also improved and the motor hums in a satisfying baritone. At this rate, my investment in the K&N air filter will save me 200 gallons of gasoline over the first year, as I drive 25,000 miles annually. That's a tenfold ROI, not to mention that I'm done buying air filters!

Easy installation, fits perfect, even has a S/S clamp to keep it on the air intake tube (which the OEM doesn't have). I picked up a mile or two of gas mileage and a bit added power. Well worth the cost for a million mile air cleaner.

Super easy to install on my 2008 Trailblazer maybe 15 minutes. Just installed so will update further as time passes, I have had many k&N products on my other vehicles and have had nothing but good results.

After installation, I noticed a slight improvement in performance and gas mileage.
