I went to the NARS website to get advice on the right color for me. They asked for my picture, then responded with the Sheer Matte foundation in New Orleans. I ordered on Amazon because I had an electronic gift card, so I figured I had nothing to lose if it didn't work. The color was much lighter than I usually used and it made me very skeptical. However, when I used it for the first time.....I was amazed. It blended into my skin and it truly looked like I had flawless, even-toned, not made up skin. That has never occurred with any foundation I have tried in the past. When used exactly as directed, it glides on perfectly and stays put. I have never been so impressed with a foundation as I am with this one. I almost want to order another so I don't run out. You truly do get what you pay for.
