I would say that they are probably not as powerful as the original Canon battery and subjectively, they feel a touch lighter so, although the quoted rating is higher than the original Canon battery, I'm sceptical. The charger, however, is better than the Canon original in that it can charge two batteries at the same time and can be used connected to two different types of USB plug.
