Great price for an extra large foam roller
I foam roll quite frequently, both to treat occasional aches and to loosen up after strenuous activities like weightlifting. I've used everything from those knobby-style foam rollers to a chunk of PVC pipe so I've developed a few preferences. PVC pipe is awesome if you need really aggressive therapy in an area with a lot of dense tissue over it, like an IT band which is sheathed by heavy leg muscles. However it is PAINFUL, and unless you're treating an acute issue (IT band pain), it's really too aggressive to use every day. I also had one of those knobby-style rollers with all the nooks and crannies that are supposed to really knead the tissue out and hit the acupressure points. I've never noticed anything particularly special about these. All those little crevices tend to do in my experience is to get caught on the floor and make it a little harder to roll. Maybe they work better for some people but I haven't seen a benefit to them. This roller is just a simple cylinder of high density foam. I wanted a particularly long roller so that I could hit the entire length of my back in one shot, and this one extends almost the length of my spine from my shoulder blades to my lumbar back. Perfect. The foam is a little glossy and can slip if using it on a polished floor (like hardwood), but in practice this isn't a big deal. Usually it's trapped underneath you and if you're careful you can keep it from squirting out from under you. It's dense enough to really work for almost everything including tight IT bands. The only time I would want something more rigid (like PVC pipe) is if I'm fighting something like tendinitis, where I have to be REALLY aggressive to break up adhesions. Those instances are rare, and for the majority of uses this roller will be fine. I really like that this thing is relatively inexpensive. I've seen rollers go for 2 or 3 times as much as this one but I doubt that they are 2-3x as effective. Simplicity is key here, at least for me, and the fact that I can buy this roller for about $25 is fantastic. If I wear it out in a year, I'll buy another one and not think twice. If you're looking for an inexpensive, extra-large foam roller, I highly recommend this one.

Foam does THIS?!
When I first was given a foam roller to use at Physical Therapy, I had no idea what I was in for. I suffer from chronic shoulder pain, and I have had it now for 6 years. I've started physical therapy again for it, and the facility that I am going to uses a variety of tools and methods to make sure their clients get the best care possible. I've seen foam rollers in the stores and advertised here and there, but really had no idea about the use of them. After all, they are just foam... but they are SO MUCH MORE! When my physical therapist showed me various stretches to do for my shoulders ON the foam roller - I was shocked at how good those stretches felt. From that day, I knew I had to purchase one for home use. I received my foam roller yesterday and I love it just as much as the one at my physical therapist's office. This foam roller is more dense than the one used at my physical therapist, but works just as well. I have knots going alone each shoulder blade that have been there for years - rolling on the roller and putting pressure on a single knot with all of my body weight feels incredible. It hurts, but it's a good hurt. I know I will get relief from it. I have already recommended this to family and friends who suffer with body pain. My parents will be the proud owners of a foam roller soon. If you are reading this, and you've been thinking about purchasing a foam roller - I would highly recommend buying one, and this one was a great deal (especially if you're just starting out). It'll leave you thinking, "Foam does THIS?!"

Works as expected
This is good quality and a great size for the exercises I got at PT. I like that it's firm without being hard. Lightweight and I like the color.

Great for the price !
This is a great beginner's foam roller. Overall I am very happy with this purchase because the price was so low. I already had a shorter thicker foam roller but personal trainer introduced me to the longer version of it and I have to recommend the long one. There is just so much more you can do with the longer one. It is long enough that my entire upper body plus butt fits on it (I am 5 foot 6) and that was just what I needed. I wanted a foam roller that is firm enough so that it has no give. I didn't want to squish it with my body weight. However, the downside is that this foam roller feels just a bit too hard. But I see a good number of reviews who would prefer it even harder. I guess that is a personal preference. And maybe I will also get used to it. As long as the price stays low I would always recommend this foam roller. By the way, my foam roller shipped in a box and in perfect condition. I am mentioning this because several reviewers mentioned their foam roller was not in a box and arrived dented.

Nice and dense for a while until the middle creased and split!
Product was a great value after much research ( because coma rollers are ridiculously priced considering the materials) It held up for a few months with fairly regular use (5x give or take/per week), on both carpet and hard wood. I am 165lb male. Eventually, the center "gave way" to a crease which split open to spill out the little, unpacked foam pieces from inside. The integrity of the middle has been compromised and isn't has rigid as I would like for my purposes but still maintains the function of those less dense rollers (though it is slight more oblong sharpened than original cylindrical) I used electrical tape to stop the "bleeding" Given the length, I have since just been using the outer edges to roll out with as they have maintained that dense feel Slowly however it is losing its density and will need replaced. I have definitely rolled less since the compromise. I have yet to decide if I will buy another one and hope it lasts longer or spend a few extra bucks for a different brand or just say eff it and make my own.

Great quality
I use this multiple times a week. It’s the perfect size and super dense. Great for a quick roll down your spine or to actually roll out knots and muscles

Bien

Very firm - Definitely does the job
Very happy with this. Had a less firm roller before for several years; it became a bit 'squashed'. This one is much better - nice and firm, and doesn't feel like it will ever get compressed or wear out. Been using it for a number months now - all good.
