It work very well the entire time. It was helpful to have two places to plug in when I needed to charge my phone and tablet together because I never knew when the power was going to go out in Nepal. I also like having two places to plug in because I was living in a house with many people and only a few plugs. I could use my plug at the same time as someone else and we could both charge. I was able to plug in my American plugs and European friends could plug in their plugs as well. One time I stayed in a hotel and found that the wall plug was unfortunately smaller than the size of this plug, but most places I went to had a wall plugs this size. Overall it worked very well and was light and easy to travel with. Review: Works perfectly, light, extra outlet is a big plus - I used this in Sri Lanka, which has the same D-style outlets as in India. This does not convert from the 220 volts from the wall outlet, but many computer and electronics chargers work on both 110 volts and 220 volts, so no transformer is needed. In most places I did not need them given the outlets were dual purpose and would accept US plug style. When I did use, the fit was good and no issues with my equipment.
