Lasko Oscillating Pedestal Fan - 16" - S16612 - Black

This fan works great and has been very reliable for everyday use. This is now my second summer using it, and it still performs well. The airflow is strong and helps keep the room comfortable during hot weather. It works well in bedrooms, living rooms, or office spaces. It’s been a dependable fan over time. The oscillating feature helps move air evenly throughout the room. It cools a larger area instead of blowing in one direction only. The multiple speed settings are useful depending on how much airflow is needed. The fan runs smoothly and does a good job circulating air. It’s very practical for daily use. The adjustable height makes it easy to position where needed. The remote control is also very convenient, especially when using it in a bedroom. The timer feature is helpful for nighttime use or saving energy. Everything is easy to adjust and use. It’s designed with convenience in mind. The fan has held up well after regular use across multiple summers. It still feels sturdy and runs consistently. The black finish looks simple and clean without standing out too much. It fits easily into different rooms and styles. It has proven to be durable over time. This is a solid fan that continues to work well season after season. The features, airflow, and reliability make it a great value. It’s easy to use and effective for keeping spaces cool. The long-term performance has been impressive. I’m very happy with it.

My husband has to sleep with a fan running. He loves the remote & that the height is adjustable. I love that it's super quiet.

This is a great pedestal fan. The remote feature works very well in a 12x12' room, no issue hitting it from long distance. The 4 speeds is nice as I usually use it more just to keep airflow in a room, and the lowest setting does this and is whisper quiet. Even on high speed it is not very loud or rattly. The Temp feature works in 5 degree increments, 60-65, 70-75, and so on. I don't use the Timer feature much, but tested for this review, and it works fine.

I almost didn't purchase this Lasko S16612 16" Adjustable Pedestal Fan with Thermostat and Remote Control due to of all the negative reviews that said it didn't sit right in the base, was wobbly, can't move fan around without it falling apart, it's a safety hazard, etc. It was a quick assembly and you just have to make sure that the pole is pushed all the way into the base and the fan assembly itself. I wouldn't but I could dance around with it if I wanted to. LOL I also watched a video that showed it vibrating so bad causing loud noise that if I had seen before purchasing may have completely turned me away, but my guess is that he didn't get the threads lined up and screw the blade in correctly. On first test run, it seems like a great fan! I'll edit if the reviews that say it died quickly turn out to be true, but so far it seems like the perfect replacement for my broken fan that I've hung on to because I couldn't find another temperature controlled one!

For a fan that is American made, it’s China cheap. Starting at the bottom, the base is plastic and is not weighted. The shaft that goes into the base is not bolted, it’s a push in. The head assembly that goes onto the shaft is not bolted either, it just slides on and it wobbles. If you pick up the fan by the head assembly it just slides off. You have to use 2 hands and hold the shaft and the head assembly to move it. The rear grille is plastic and the front grille is metal. This fan does not blow very hard on high which was disappointing to me. It is quiet but it doesn’t blow hard. The fan does oscillate with remote control and manual control which I really need because of my disability. This is my first day with this fan and time will tell on how long it will last.

This fan is great. It has lasted 2 years and 2 months of use every day almost 24 hours a day. It just now started to die on me and need to buy a new one. For the group of people that need the strong fan to sleep it’s great, and the sound is perfect to sleep with.

I have run this since May 2023. The fan motor , the construction throughout is Good. But....there,s one poor , and typical problem. The fan blade is unbalanced. Thicker plastic than the cheap models out there, but on full speed especially, the whole unit vibrates. The base, as a circular convex, as viewed from above, acts as a sounding drum to the above shudders. I stripped the entire fan structure down , tightened various parts, added a washer here and there, snugged the upright.. Sat the whole thing on a padded base. To no avail. The plastic fan , for the sake of a few Yen , corrupts this otherwise excellent product. Get the blade balanced, or cast to a true standard, and it would be perfect. The drumming almost made me give it 3 stars, but i gave it 4. Update....its now a couple of years later. It runs well still. I have bought a 2nd as well, and it is as perfect as one could hope for. 5 Stars now. A really good fan, and as the world descends into Super-Heat thanks to Trump, his mob, his gangs, and Industry freaks,... so i will buy more of these fans to stay alive.

Tubing is plastic so not terrifically sturdy if trying to move - takes two hands. Makes a slight noise on oscillation at the extreme ends on both ends but I got used to it.
