Women's Packer Boots

My situation in buying these boots is probably a bit different than most. After breaking my foot, then having surgery to repair the break, my foot is now shaped differently. I was surprised & saddened when I could no longer get my foot into my favorite pair of Western boots. My husband suggested that I try a pair of lace-up boots. We both loved the look of these boots. So in spite of the negative reviews, I took a chance on them. I did heed the suggestion to size down. I wear a women's size 7, but ordered a 6.5. The fit is just right. They just came today, so I've only worn them a few hours in & out of the house. They're very comfortable & give a good support on the still tender, healing foot. They are a bit "heavy", but that wasnt uncomfortable to me. The only weird thing was the tongue was a bit narrow. I kept having to tuck the sides back in while lacing up. However, I'm very pleased with these boots so far and would recommend giving them a try. Shipping was fast, about 3 days.

I really, REALLY love these boots. I will preface my review by stating a few important things: 1. I don't work outside or do heavy manual work and I don't ride, 2. I did not need these boots for safety reasons, and 3. I have never actually owed a pair of "work" boots before. Rather, I was looking for a boot that would keep my feet WARM in the winter in my professional work environment and that would LOOK nice. Essentially, I wanted warmth and comfort while still looking acceptable for an office environment with slacks. These are amazing! I am cold all the time and live where Winter is a season I literally FREEZE all the time, even inside. These keep my feet perfectly comfortable, not too hot and not cold at all. Here are some other pros of these boots: 1. They are incredibly warm (as previously mentioned) 2. They are VERY comfortable. No initial discomfort and no breaking in needed. 3. They lace up supportively and perfectly for my skinny ankle. Nearly all my fashion-oriented "boots" are always too loose around my ankles, always! These lace up and feel secure and tight (but not too tight). 4. They look good! I wear slacks to work in the Winter and the look like a nice pair of shoes under my slacks. They are not dressy by any means but def. wearable to work. 5. I am sad on days when I don't wear brown hues because I want to wear them every single day. I need a black pair, for sure. There is only one thing that took me a minute to get used to....they are super sturdy which I knew means they would be a bit heavier than the other footwear that I am used to wearing. They felt a little heavy initially but took me just a little bit walking in them to adjust. I wear a solid 7 and ordered a 7. I do not require a wide and have pretty thin ankles and feet.

I have spent years looking for these boots, wanting a good work boot as well as every day AND stylish!! I wear vintage western clothes every day as well as work hard outside. I wanted the vintage look plus comfort and fit. My feet are very narrow with wide at the toes so I also had to have laced boots. I have weak ankles so the laces gives strength to my ankles and fit for the narrow with plenty of room for my toes. Even though they are medium width, the laces help to have a snug fit. I was SOOO surprised at the unbelievable quality of the leather!! Plus oiled and waterproof!! Amazing fit and beautiful leather plus comfort I haven't felt in years. The minute I put them on, it was perfect fit! No breaking in!! At the end of the day I didn't want to take them off!! My feet never hurt after hours of wear!!! The only problem was getting the right size, took three orders of different sizes to get the right fit, BUT worth it!! This is the same problem with any online ordering with a first time buy. Also, my question is, can you make this same boot in a dressy leather as well? I will always wear these but would be nice to have a dressier pair as well. Thank You for a beautiful boot!! Been really upset with Ariet now for several years when they stop selling their laced up womens work boots. I loved them purchased 3 pairs then they only made the roper slip on. Hate them I need laced up because my feet are narrow. Order these Ad Tec womens laced up work boots because they look just like the Ariet. I can say they are true to size they seem very well made real leather and pretty comfortable. They could be a little more narrow but no complaint I like them and I would recommend them.

The QUALITY IS AMAZING FOR THE PRICE ! Caveat, SIZING! I initially ordered the Chestnut after days of debate over the red and black or chestnut. The red and black look great in pics, but not as good in person. The Chestnut are just as gorgeous in person. The problem is sizing sizing sizing, yes 3 times. Because I ordered Size 10 3 times, but although they were marked Size 10 they were in fact...... Size 10.5 on the second pair of Chestnut boots I ordered because the first pair rubbed me above my ankle in the back and would have led to an enormous blister. The first pair was a snug 10 that I couldn’t have worn with socks, but I rarely wear socks but instead install an ugg style lamb insole instead of socks, because the sewing on socks especially at the toe hurts my feet. Total Princess and the Pea Problem. I cut all tags out of clothes etc. Very sensitive skin and these boots are COMFY COMFY COMFY! The third pair the beautiful and coveted black and cherry pair were a 9.5. In summary, if the first pair doesn’t fit keep ordering until you find the perfect pair. Tip, keep them all until you find 2 that fit, a right and a left that are perfect for you might be in 2 different boxes. I opted to keep the right and left of the 10.5 because I have custom orthotics and they take up a little room, plus if I want to wear socks the pair that is a 10.5 will permit socks without my toes being crushed by the end of the boots being too short. Enjoy these boots, the will look amazing with long skirts, jeans and cute shorts with or without tights on your legs.

UPDATE: I ordered these boots in late May, they arrived June 6. I began wearing them. I had more foot pain with these boots than the last pair, the design seems to have changed a bit. Yesterday, July 31 I realized the sewing was already ripping out! TOO late to send back!! Very disappointed. The previous pair lasted nearly two years before ripping out. These lasted less than two months!!! Don't waste your money!! Previous review: I've been wearing Double H lace up packers with the gel heel for years now. I only bough these because my DHs were full of holes and I could NOT find any in my size. These are fine if you are mostly around the barn or walking around in town. Comfy enough with gel heel inserts I added. They lacks Vibram soles like Double H which are only important if you walk a lot in rough country. Also, they lack a "spur ridge" which would only be important if you ride a lot and ride with spurs, like I do. Fiddling around trying to ge my spurs to lay correctly is difficult and I end up having to practically cut off the circulation in my feet to get the spurs to stay where they should while I ride. I've worn these all summer and they've held up well, been easy care(I did have to oil them as soon as they arrived) and kept the water out the time or two I slipped in the edges of streams without getting in over top of boot level. Half the price of Double Hs, but I will really look for Double H the next time. But they might work perfectly if you don't have the rough country walking and spur issues I have.

I love these boots! I bought them to use for barn chores. I loved the idea of a work boot that I could ride in. They are a western style boot but work well in the stirrups on my English saddle. They are gorgeous and nicely constructed boots, I was so sad to get them muddy! Thankfully they clean up easily. They are cute enough to wear as part of an outfit to somewhere other than the barn. I love all the use I get out of these boots. The removable kilties are a nice touch, I chose to keep them on. My only minor complaint is that the insoles aren't quite as cushy as i like in my work boots, and I usually prefer a little more arch support as well. I almost always end up switching the insoles out in most of my boots anyway, so it's not a big issue for me. I can still get through my 4 hour shifts at the barn comfortably with the included insoles. There was very little break-in period, the leather was pretty supple right out of the box and the cushioned tongue prevents pinching from the laces. I'd say these boots are true to size, so size up if you plan on wearing thick socks for cold weather. I will absolutely purchase these again!

I've gone through 2 returns on this boot, which is a good boot, always fits, but the problem is the seam across the arch where the tongue is sewn on. It is too tight, rough and tears into my foot. Yes I was wearing socks. I've purchased them before, its just this time, they hurt. I do not feel you should not buy them, just try them on first to see if the sewn tongue doesn't affect you

I bought a pair of these exact boots about13 years ago and was so sad they were looking a bit rough... I was thrilled to find these online!! My favorite boots are back and I wear them all the time... I'm a home ec teacher, not in construction!!, but this work book is just my style!! So comfortable ... right from the first wearing!! I am a size 8.5 and they are absolutely true to size.

I received the 7.5 women's boots and I am obsessed with them. They are a little bit on the bigger side, but that's just perfect for additional socks. Great quality leather and laces, all around the quality to price ratio on this boot is excellent. The shipping was fast too! Highly recommend.
