Your cat needs this.
There are a host of reasons that cats need a vertical scratching surface to stay strong and healthy. Not only does it sharpen and clean their claws, it exercises muscle groups all up and down the core of their bodies, helping them stay strong and nimble. Their paws also have scent glands, leaving their scent on the post, and claiming it as their own. This scratching post is just over two feet tall, giving my cat an excellent stretch, and is wrapped with very durable fiber rope. Under daily use, the first post I got him has lasted six months, and still has life left in it. I have purchased three more of these to go in various social areas of the house, so he always has somewhere to scratch, leave his scent to claim ownership of the space, and feel at home. This post is simple, sturdy, a great value, and a must for any home with a cat.

Cats love!
Got this for the bedroom, tucks away perfectly into the corner. Great to have a cat scratcher in each room (multiple if possible) keeps them away from scratching up the carpet. It's nice and tall for them to get a nice deep stretch in the morning. Once they scratch away a lot of the twine you can buy more and just replace it instead of buying a new scratcher.

Tall and Sturdy
This is the best scratching post I've ever had. Taller than most, so cat can stretch. Base is wide eniugh to support the height. Really great value.

didn't last very long
very easy to assemble. but hold onto that allen wrench b/c i needed to tighten the connection numerous times over the 5 months i've had it. and now, after 5 months, it's entirely shredded… at this price, i'm willing to purchase a new one every 6 months or so. additionally, i have 6 cats that use it, so yours may last quite a bit longer. however, my cats have at least six other scratching options available to them (and, unfortunately, some of my furniture).

I mean its a scratching post
Wish it was sturdier, cats can’t stretch as good when it starts to tip over

Great Product and My Cat Loves It!
I was surprised at how much bigger it was than the ones I've got at Walmart. It looks to be much sturdier and durable than the others.

Good for the price
My cat loves hers and it lasted about a year with her using it regularly until it was so shredded that she started clawing the walls instead. For the price, I don't mind ordering her another one of these. I think this is a solid product.

Shrinkflated Cat Scratching Post
I've ordered this post before from the same listing and the post was 9cm diameter, the Q&A on the listing said it was 9cm, what I have received is only 7cm ,the base is also thinner and less heavy that the last one and the sisal rope is thinner. Its clearly been value optimised to make more money, this makes me cross. See the photo, both bought from same Amazon listing less than 18 months apart.

Flimsy and Broken
Terrible! I bought this ready for my cats in my new home. Opened it on arrival a few weeks ago and it has completely broken. Can’t return it as I bought it in advance. Don’t waste good money on this product it’s flimsey and doesn’t last.

BEWARE.... this product is not durable ...
BEWARE....this product is not durable. The scratching post has broken clean off the base. This has exposed the interior of the post which is basically a cardboard tube (covered with the rope scratching surface). Protruding from the now broken off tube are very sharp "staples".See picture attached.

Only 5 month old already ready for the bin...Sorry but this is terrible!
HiI don't normally leave reviews, much less negative ones, but this product has pressed the wrong buttons. Firstly, it took Amazon 3 (yes Three) attempts to get me the order with all the parts/components in places (base, pole, and screw to attach the two). I complained heavily, as it's so frustrating when you find they can't ship a product that contains only three parts. The first two boxes they sent both had the screw missing, which is needed to connect the base and the pole together. I even asked them to make sure if they could have someone check the package before sending it a second time. They said they would but didn't.When I finally received a box with the parts needed for a full assembly, I notice there was an extra part in the box. After investigation, I realized it wasn't an extra part, in fact, the top of the pole had actually fallen off. Couldn't even remount it as it was originally fixed to the pole with staples. By this time I had already binned my cat's old scratch pole and was desperate so I assembled it with the top missing.Five months later as you can see from the pictures the poll is a wreck. I only have one cat and the previous poll lasted for nearly 4 years. This product is totally a non-starter, somewhere along the line they have to change the materials and the assembly process for what was once a good solid product to produce a cheap & useless version which they are selling at the same price.

AN HONEST REVIEW
The media could not be loaded. Purchased for 2 ageing cats to use. Not very happy with it to be honest for the reason that after 3 days of use a sizable gap of about 4-5cm appeared in the rope exposing the cardboard its wrapped around. In my eyes they haven't wrapped enough rope around the cylinder. Not really noticeible when new from box but once its had a couple of moggy's pulling down on the rope sharpening their claws like they do, it creates a nasty gap in the rope at the top of the pole. My cats are 17 now so they haven't been climbing up it or "abusing" it........ Like I said not enough rope wrapped round in the factory. See the video...On the plus side the cats took to it straight away and does the job but poor construstion/quality control and I've never had a scratch post do this in my 17 years as a cat owner.I wouldn't recommend this product. I know scratch posts have a limited life but I'd sooner get a bit longer than 3 days out of it before it starts looking tired.Hope this Helps
