As my son started Kindergarten this year, we decided to transition out of the booster-seat harness to the shoulder belt to facilitate his getting in/out of the car independently. We have a 2014 Mazda CX-9 that was purchased at the beginning of the summer and floppy seat belt buckles never even crossed my mind as something to consider when car shopping. I had read a few reviews online that suggested using pool noodles to help prop up the buckle, but I couldn't get it to work for us (still too floppy). This definitely helps, and while it's not quite a stiff as I would have liked, that's probably more a function of my particular seat belt buckle as opposed to the functionality of the product. What it comes down to is that my 5 year old is (usually) able to buckle/unbuckle himself - he's still learning and sometimes has issues, but I can't imagine him being able to do it without this installed. It's nice and snug and doesn't move around. The other one...the one my 5 year old uses...does move around a little more, but it still holds the buckle upright so he can buckle himself in. Total lifesaver - especially once winter is here! I normally get yucky snow on my knees/legs because of how high my car is off the ground (Dodge Nitro). Every time I'd lean over to buckle him in....
