I have 3 kids and very long hair myself. This helped me remove the nits from my toddler's hair and save me SO much time and energy looking for those little buggers! For those with kids with long hair, here is what finally did the trick for me: I washed their hair very well with lots of conditioner so it would be easy to comb through. I had my little one sit in front of me while I started at the crown of the head and divided the hair in one straight line across using the pointed tip of a comb. I then combed ALL of the hair that was hanging down from the crown. Then I looked for any remaining nits on the parted line I was working on. Then using the pointed tip, I only separated 1/4" or less and repeated the process until I reached the bottom, then did this same thing on the top of the head. *At this point I had been dealing with lice for way too long and I was so tired of it coming back! After I did this method it never came back. I won! Then I got lice. I had no idea if I had it or not because my husband (God love him), had no idea what he was looking for. I used this comb on myself and what do ya know... I had them. So I put coconut oil on my hair (root to tip) and left it for a good 40 minutes to an hour (this apparently suffocates them). Then using this comb I went through my entire head of hair (I have waist length hair). It took a long time but I was able to remove actual bugs and many nits (so gross!). From that night on, I would go through my hair every night after my shower and still kept combing out dead nits until one day I didn't find any at all! After all of this, I went through everyone's hair with the comb about once a week just to be sure we were clear! It was a long and exhausting process, but this comb made ALL of the difference. If your kids have lice, BUY IT. It will make your life so much easier. Sterilize it, keep it, and pray you don't have to use it again! But if you do...you'll be prepared.

We have unfortunately and disgustingly been struggling with lice for about 4 months now. My oldest brought it home from school and gave it to her sisters and now they just keep passing it back and forth and we can't seem to get rid of it. We tried everything! The smothering methods, the over the counter shampoos, prescription shampoos, everything. Cleaned and washed and vacuumed everything in the house and still couldn't get rid of them. No matter what comb or method I tried, I couldn't get all the nits out of their hair and I had to hand pick most of them out and always ended up missing some. But this comb is so amazing. I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am for this comb and whoever created it! It is the first comb I've seen that actually pulls out nits. And it pulls a lot out every time. It's easy to clean which is also a plus, because a lot of other combs have stuff get stuck in them that is hard to clean out. And it goes smoothly through the hair and doesn't pull the hair. Giant plus for me because my daughters have sensitive heads. Completely worth the money and not a bad price either. I will always recommend this comb. It's amazing and wonderful. I'd give it a thousand stars if I could. If you're struggling with a lice problem, get this comb. Don't even worry about anything else. This is your solution right here.

The comb really makes a difference. This one really gets all of the lice and nits out. We had originally purchased a CVS brand that came with the treatment oil and it did ok but missed much more than the Fairy Tales Terminator. Got all the tiny nits and young lice out with this comb. The colored grippy plastic pieces that run along the top really do help quite a bit when you are working with the oil or creme treatment. It is one of those nice options that you never knew you needed until you have it. There is a school play coming up and we will be sure to use their Rosemary Repel Conditioning Spray on the days where my child has dress rehearsals and the play as she has to wear a shared hat. Lice seems to be going around the school.... Initially there was a slight defect to the original comb that arrived which did not affect the performance of what it had to do. I sent a quick email about it and a picture. I was not returning since I needed to use the comb right away and for the next few days. No questions asked they sent a replacement. With such a small item and a product that is more of a necessity, if you are buying one you pretty much need it asap, I honestly did not even expect a response. Wonderful customer service on top of a product that really works. With lice one does not want to waste time or effort since it is such a draining process.

There is no way we would have gotten rid of our child's lice without this comb. This was our first and hopefully last experience with these nasty little bugs. The plastic combs that come with the treatments are a joke and do not comb out all the nits. After trying for 3 straight days separating hair, combing and cutting nits out twice a day there were still nits being found after i thought we had them all. So I ordered this as a precaution and had next day delivery. Thank goodness I did. When we used this comb there were over 30 more nits combed out that I could not see and would have hatched starting this nightmare all over again. I used this comb daily until we made it to 14 days after the 1st lice treatment and never found anymore lice or nits since using this comb. Just make sure to use a good detangler or olive oil which really worked well to loosen the nits too (shampoo with dawn dish detergent to remove) and comb tangles out before using this comb because the teeth are very close together and will pull hair out if not. We have been lice free for 3 months now. What worked for us to prevent reinfestation was the initial treatment, this comb everyday for 1st 14 days, cleaned and washed everything, vacuumed floors and furniture daily, washed bedding everyday for 2 weeks, bagged all toys that couldn't be washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer for 4 weeks, and a designated seat for use only for our child with lice in the living room with a sheet put down and washed daily, all combs thrown away and purchased replacements. We also put our childs clothes and coat straight in the washer from school knowing there was a chance of this coming home again. We were taking no chances on having to go through this again and it worked. Good luck to all that has to go through this nightmare.

This is what should come with any lice stuff you get from the store! The ones that come In the box are worthless because all of the nits pass through but NOT with this comb. It gets every one, you just have to be careful when pulling it through the hair making sure to go the whole section down so you don't tangle the hair and do get ALL the nits out. Make sure your sections of hair aren't too big as not to overwhelm the comb though! That will make combing through much easier! I had tried the comb that came with the solution I bought but it wouldn't grab any so I had to resort to hand picking EVERY SINGLE ONE MYSELF which was horrible (it took me 8 hours by hand) until, praise Jesus, I found this comb! Such a life, mind, time saver!! I think it should be a little cheaper for what it is but it does work!!!! Get it, get it, get it!! I wish I had known and had this from the beginning!

it was unfortunate i had to research these products in the first place, but my three year old came home scratching one day and lo and behold... EW!!!!! After a few days of using the crappy, painful plastic combs that come with lice removal kits, I was sent this way by a forum thread of moms who'd dealt with this before. My eyes were kind of swimming, actually, as there are a million and one different brands of these combs, all of which look pretty much the same. So, since we could only douse our heads in chemicals once every seven days, i went to war with a lot of natural solutions - and one of them included similar ingredients to Fairy Tales spray, and I think that's why I went ahead and chose this comb (that and, well, the name... the name...) It's also why I only gave it 4 out of five stars - because I really just can't see the difference between this and other combs that look just like it, other than the packaging. Turns out, covering our heads in coconut oil and a variety of essential oils worked better than the nastiest chemicals you could buy at the drug store, and made me feel a lot safer about having to treat my three year old for this issue. She looked ridiculously cute in a shower cap, too. And when the comb arrived, I was happy at the ease with which it slipped through my daughter's poor, abused hair in a way that awful, stupid plastic comb never could, and how much gunk it picked up out of there. Then, I took it to MY hair. Friends, I have hair to the middle of my back. It is thick with large corkscrew curls. Suffice it to say, combing it for nits with that little plastic comb from the kit was about as possible as getting an elephant to sit in a church pew. This comb was FAR, FAR easier to work with. I also noticed something else - I had a bit of dandruff after the lice chemical treatment. My scalp reacted terribly to the stuff and flaked quite a bit in my obsessive treatment process (first chemicals, then a natural treatment on both of us EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR A WEEK, because this is the first time in 40 years I have ever encountered lice) - so, I actually used this comb to do a quick dandruff removal fix on my way out the door and it worked wonderfully for that, too. Who knew...

Honestly, there really isn't anything "special" or unique I found about this comb. It's meant for lice, and it seems to have done the job. Definitely not a FUN job, I mean, especially with a little girl with the thickest hair ever...... But that isn't the comb's fault. Good product, did the job, good quality, and I'd get it again based on the price point especially.

This comb is amazing. We encountered our first case of lice and I really was clueless. We used a chemical treatment to kill the live bugs and then I used both the comb that came with the treatment and a stainless steel comb that I purchased. Day two I used both the other combs again and I could still see so many nits being left behind. So I spent a few hours hand picking out all I could find and I ordered this comb with two day shipping. When the comb arrived I thought we were nit free as I also hand picked out again on day three. So I thought the comb was not going to be needed. Well, I was wrong. I used the comb to discover that in fact there were some very tiny nits still left in the hair....it took two more days of combing to make sure I had them all and now I cannot find any more....to my complete pleasure. I will now be using this comb as part of a Sunday bath time routine just to make sure. I suggest buying this comb and keeping it on hand in case you ever need it. I will not use a chemical treatment again, just this comb. It is so far superior to the comb that comes in the kit or the comb I bought at my local drugstore. It gets out Everything!

You know there's always that one family that always seems to be infested with lice and they just can't seem to get rid of it? Well there's one like that in my neighborhood and also sits next to my son in the classroom 🤦 This comb is a must! I run it through his hair if I suspect he has some running around. When his hair was longer, it seemed like every other month he was catching it and this always did the trick. Now that he has since donated his hair and sports a shorter hair style, it still works amazingly. I don't even use any of the harsh lice removal treatments. Just old school tons of hair conditioner and vinegar for rincing and combing this guy through every night for about 2 weeks to make sure we got them all. I was amazed by how well it worked. It does yank on the hair a bit and rip out small pieces though, but I think it's a good trade off to being free of lice
