If you like Wii Ski and Snowboard (by Namco) get this!
When I saw this game I knew it was going to be fun. That was just from reading the write up. At the time of purchase, I spent twice as much as it is listed for now. It was well worth it, with saying that, if you see it for fourteen something, get it for yourself or for a gift for someone who loves to play the Wii, and you will be high on their list. This game has been played for 5+ hours in my house the last few nights. I am a 38 year old female and the other person who plays it, more like cannot turn it off, is a 40 year old male. He has little patience and is easily bored but this game has him and I will get to that soon. At first when we started playing, I will admit, I was not as impressed. I knew it had a lot to offer but I wanted to see to all, you have to unlock parts of the games to get to the 100 play area. I read a lot of people compare it to Sports Resort; I do not see the similarity. I will say without a doubt, if you have mastered Wii Ski and Snowboard, THIS is the game for you! It has the same layout and the controls are the exact same as Wii Ski and Snowboard. After awhile my arthritis hurts but my friends has managed to unlock so many games. One night he was on a mountain and it is set up JUST like Wii Ski and Snowboard. Instead of taking a gondola to the top or a helicopter, you take a ski lift or a helicopter as well. As you play you have the game playing the `resort' ski music in the background with the announcements. There are caves and hidden areas. Last night my friend found a cave on the mountain and it had lava in it and you are able to bungee jump above the lava. There are hidden `treasures' throughout the game and so far they have been outfits. The sound clips through out game are the same are Wii Ski and Snowboard. It make sense though, it is made by the same company, Namco, that put out the other game. This game is for little ones and adults. When my friend walks in he puts this game in and does not stop playing it and I am AMAZED at home much this game has to offer. There is so much to do! Another cute feature is you can use your mii's and also add a dog and pick your dog from their selection and name it. The dog will follow you around as you play, it is adorable. I wanted to hit on that you can use this without the balance board. I have one but we have not used it, just like Wii Ski and Snowboard. We use the motion plus remotes and nunchucks. For the price, GET IT! For someone who thinks they have every game, but does not have this one, get it. If you like Wii Ski and Snowboard, get this. My friend called not too long to ask if he could come over and play this some more since he opened a new area last night. The only con, which is little, with Wii Ski and Snowboard, you have the option to play in day or night mode. Since the layout and controls are the same, I thought it would be great if this game offered day or night. It is only in day mode. I like playing in night mode; it can be relaxing at night. UPDATE: Thanks to Diane in the comment section, we were able to unlock the night/day mode at the 16 stamp. Now you can play all the games in the night or day mode, it is AWESOME! This game is a treat and offers a lot more than I thought it did. I am very impressed and highly recommend it.

FAVORITE Wii game! Simple to play, but layers upon layers upon layers of gameplay!
Absolutely the VERY BEST Wii game I've purchased! I'm simply awestruck at the developers for making a game that is easy enough for a child to play (it's my 7 year old daughter's favorite game) but that at the same time allows free (or guided) travel through four richly designed vacation areas (marine, city, mountain and snow resorts), play 50 extremely diverse mini-games, and also allows you to acquire your own villa site where you can furnish a villa and stay on a street filled with friend's villas. Doing justice to the game would take an extremely long winded review, and I don't want to scare anyone away from it, as again my 7 year old daughter was able to instantly enjoy it. What has absolutely amazed me and made me love the game is that we have been able to play it for an hour or so a few times a week for MONTHS without tiring of it and while still finding new hidden features, conquering levels of the mini-games, and filling the villa site. The scuba diving mini-game alone is a treasure, guiding the player through level after level of play in differing dive locations, finding exotic fish among shipwrecks, caverns, and underwater ruins. As for the diversity of the mini-games, how many other games see you ski-jumping one moment, doing roller-coaster length skateboard grinds the next, and even giving glass harp concerts?! Can't praise the game enough as without question it has been the most fun game I've played with my daughter and has allowed us to enjoy lots of fun playtime together!

Like Wii Resort but with an open world concept kinda feel
Super fun game. I'm not sure why it wasn't more popular when it first came out. I would consider it a must-have classic for the Wii console.

Not quite there...
I was really excited when I saw this game advertised, thinking it would be similar to Wii Sports and Sports Resort, and while they definitely have a lot more mini games to choose from than the other two games, the quality just isn't the same. The graphics are well done and I like that you can really explore all the different regions of the game via various methods of transportation. Part of the fun is just wandering around and seeing all the fun little details they put into this game such as all the background characters minding their own business while you explore. But when you really get into the mini games, I just found them to be so unresponsive to my motions that many of the games became rather frustrating. Just as an example, they have a tennis game which I was looking forward to because I love the Wii Sports tennis game, but the motion to hit the ball just isn't fluid and responsive and you have to unnaturally swing very early to make your Mii react in time to actually hit the ball. There is an option to just play the mini game as a solo player which is nice, and you can use the nunchuck to actually aim the ball instead of relying on timing like in Wii Sports, but again it just didn't respond the way it should and made that feature pretty pointless. I could go on and on but to keep it short, there were similar issues in just about every mini game and it really takes the fun out of it. It might be worth it if this were one of the $19 games but at $30 I hoped for more.

This is a GREAT game--like an RPG in scope and depth!
What people need to understand is that this is a fundamentally different game from Wii Sports Resort. Yes, it's an attempt at an improvement, but through the creation of a deeper experience for those who have the patience and imagination to appreciate it! The minigames--while not all stellar (come on, there are fifty of `em)--are great for the most part! Surfing captivated me with it's depth and controls--and entire game could be built around that alone! Even so, it doesn't take long to see that the minigames are less than half of the game. I'd go as far as to say the minigames aren't even a quarter of the game. You're exploring the island, solving puzzles, finding secrets.... As others have mentioned, just cruising around in various recreational modes is fun in of itself. Go Vacation rewards you for exploring with its impressive attention to detail, from all kinds of sights and sounds, to narrative back-story and subplots... I've been amused to discover it's the most novel take on an RPG (role-playing game)--one where you can play as yourself if you use your Mii instead of one of the generic avatars! :) Even if my wife's not actually playing with me, Go Vacation lets you choose anyone you like to tag along, even the family dog! It deserves high marks for doing something different and really indulging gamers' *fantasies* as far as the resort concept goes. I don't want to leave the first resort on the island (the beach resort) until I've found everything there, and I'm probably close to 10 hours in. This will go down as a classic, even if as a niche hit. Go Vacation is a dream come true for those who wanted a little more whimsy and "Resort" built into the title that inspired it. BIG win for me (a 30 year-old gamer)!

Kids favorite game
I can't say enough about this game - it is the favorite of my 6 and 10 year old. They haven't grown tired of it after a year. With the four resorts the go to, the possibilities are endless. When stuck inside on bad weather days, they feel like they are really going on a trip - exploring a mountain on horseback, snorkeling, jet skiing, hang gliding - they still haven't done everything there is to do. You can use the hand controllers or the balance board. You can play competitive or just explore the resorts. Simply the most amazing creativity I have ever seen- all with no violence. I don't know how they have programmed all they have into the game. The catchy background music is fun, and they get a kick out of the "bla bla bla" Japanese jabber when the characters talk to each other.

Fun, a lot of motion, and much to do here!
Background: we are geeky adults who love wii fit and resort the best. There are so many different activities to do on this game. At first you are guided through some of the choices but then you can choose. There are many levels and different ways to experience this game. The motion is more than wii resort and fit and does make me a little dizzy as I am motion sensitive, but I am able to play and am getting leas sensitive. There are so many new things to do and improvements on some favorite like tennis. You need to use the numchucks and motion controller and have balance board options (but not required). I never heard of this game and lucked out. It has everything. People with young children who get frustrated easily: Most games involve using three or more controls at once like shake controller, press B and use numchuck joystick, and hitting Z on the numchuck. We have to laugh cause we can not press all these things at once! I think a kid under 9 would feel frustrated unless they had a gamer attitude and were not easily frustrated. It is most fun playing with more players but could play solo too.

Our favourite Wii game so far!
This game met all of my expectations. Go Vacation delivers more sports simulations in the style of Wii Sports Resort and keeps surprising us with fun mini games and challenges. I've played with my 9 year old son and his friends and my friends and their families. We've played for hours at a time, laughed, explored, and just enjoyed the getaway experience. I play with the game projected on a large screen about 3 meters across by 2 high which helps us immerse in the resort environment and maintains a playable screen size in 4 player mode. I'm an avid water sports and snow sports enthusiast in real life, so I was pleased with the variety of activities that kept to realistic simulations (within the limitations of the console of course). I'm surprised it was so hard to find this game. I recommend it to all my friends!

My son really enjoys this game although i do think the Wii system is a bit dated and not that easy to use.

Fast shipping, Great Seller!
Fast shipping, as described however I cant comment on the game itself because my wii is being a jerk and wont let me play it due to not being able to update the system, once I figure out why it can connect to the internet yet cant update, I will rate the game itself😂 ***Update*** Fixed the wii and now it works great! Game is fun although it would be better if you could just pick whatever activity you wanted instead of having to do challenges first👍🏻
