A: It comes with two speakers.

**Q: Do you need an amp for these speakers or are they fine without one?**
A: They will work and give pretty good sound without one, depending on the watts of your head unit. But they definitely sound better with an amp

**Q: Should I get an amp for these?**
A: If you are using the stock head unit without a subwoofer I would say No Amp. I did not install an amp and the sound quality is great! Way louder than my facoty speakers.

**Q: so this is a set of 2 ??  description says "speaker"**
A: When I bought it - it was a set of two. They sound great and can handle the radio ALL THE WAY UP!
