Steve Taylor actually codifies the problems of humanity that have been alluded to for centuries by the Tao Te Ching, Buddha, Christianity and many others. And, more than simply outlining the problem, he offers clear options for choosing another way of being. What this book does is shine a very bright light on the dichotomy of how we actually behave vs the way we SHOULD behave. If it weren't for the fact that well over 90% of our 'hallowed' institutions would be laid bare for what they really are, this book would be in every high school kids backpack, on every desk and in every library and religious institution in the world.

I love Steve Taylors books and have learned so much from his research into our minds. You will get a great perspective on spirituality that can greatly help understanding the "humania" condition.I would have give it 5 stars but for the fact that I don't agree with Steve's views on global warming and destroying the planet mentality which I consider another manipulative, political ideology bent on controlling peoples lives like most of the worlds man made dogmatic religions.

This is an excellent take on the "human condition" both esoterically and literally. Well written, explained and easy to follow. Its one of those books you can't put down. It makes sense and resonates.
