This review is for the “ Philip Kingsley | Flaky/Itchy Scalp Masks |Anit-Dandruff Mask For Flaky, Itchy, Dry, Oily Scalps | Cleansing Scalp Care | Mask that Hydrates, Soothes and Calms | 2 x 2ml” First off, can we talk about the price? At £10.50 per treatment you would expect miracles in a bottle, especially as there is so little. During a cost of living crisis where money is tight, everything has at least doubled in price and not come down, money is tight. So, can this cost be justified? Efficacy: as a chronic sufferer of itchy scalp I can confirm that this does work. My scalp is oily so my flakes stay on my scalp making it difficult to get squeaky clean without some elbow grease, a scalp scrub and a scalp massager. Having left the mask on I felt a tingling sensation but nothing uncomfortable. During its time on my head, it did not itch so, I was hopeful. After rinsing and drying I had found that my scalp was clear and not at all itchy. After using branded anti-dandruff shampoos, my head itches almost immediately after I have rinsed so, this was a relief for me.It lasted about a day before the itch returned but I think with regular use this would diminish in time. Use: you are supposed to use the entire bottle for one treatment to see the full benefits however, if you have fine hair then there might be less wastage and you might get 2 treatments out of one bottle at a push. You do have to section your hair to make sure your scalp is getting fully covered, that takes some time so, do give yourself time to apply this and leave it on. Although this was a pain to apply, I understood why it was necessary to do it this way. Conclusion: is it a miracle in a bottle? No, but it is effective. It is the closet I will get to being dandruff and itch-free. If like me you suffer from an itchy scalp that drives you mad, definitely consider this. If it is on sale I will purchase.

I've been having an issue with dandruff for quite some time, along with the persistent itching. This comes as two tubes, with each tube being a single-use treatment. It was easy to apply after sectioning my hair. I gave it a really good scrub using a hair scrubber and left it on for just under half an hour. I then washed and rinsed out my hair using my normal haircare routine. It was easy to wash out and didn't leave my hair stripped. For the first time in a long time, it left my scalp so soothed! My dandruff was a lot less visible and my hair in general just looked healthier. It didn't make my hair grease up any faster than it usually would either. For the results from a single use, I'm in love with it. Though it's an expensive investment for a weekly treatment, it's worth every penny if you have a really itchy scalp. I'd be happy to recommend.

These two 20 ml tubes of Philip Kingsley brand anti dandruff scalp mask are perfect for soothing dry flaky patches on the scalp, the anti-microbial piroctone olamide, salicylic acid and green tea extract I’ve found quickly deals with a dry patch I get that feels itchy and embarrassingly flaky, the skin has a chance to heal, which stops the itchiness and flaking. Just apply as an all over treatment or where you need it as I have, leave on the head for 10 to 20 minutes then wash twice with a dandruff shampoo and conditioner. The treatment mask is light and creamy with a pleasant scent. Not a cheap treatment, but longer lasting if only used in a small area. My dandruff has stopped and so has the itchiness.

It works but it’s not ideal. I had difficulty squeezing the tube, it’s long and slippery and once the tube was half empty it was difficult to find the right spot to press or nothing would come out. Scalp felt uncomfortable after 10min so I washed it off. Thankfully it was sufficient to clear the flakes. For the price of £10 per treatment I would’ve thought user experience will be more pleasant… Also not a fan of the single use concept in general, even if it’s made from PLA, it still has negative effects on aquatic life. If Im desperate I might buy again, otherwise would rather look for something more sustainable for both environment and the wallet, especially that I didn’t enjoy the experience.

I suffer from a really itchy and flaky scalp due to using lots of dry shampoo and hairspray every day. These treatments from Philip Kingsley do help get rid of flakes and reduce itching but it’s something you’d need to repeat often to keep it at bay. Sadly this only comes with 2 treatments which can work out quite expensive. The tube is easy to apply but you need to leave it on wet hair for quite a while which is a bit of a faff. But it does work and I’d use it again if it was on offer.

My older teen daughter has super thick hair, that is prone to oily build up and dandruff. I used this on her head, and sectioned hair to make sure one tube could be used for its one application. I think doing this yourself may be a little tricky but I had no problems applying this for my daughter. She has found that this significantly reduces the dandruff she has and the second treatment helped maintain this control. I think if she used other products in the range this would help too. The formula definitely helped with keeping the oils down as well. I do not think that any dandruff treatment really gets rid of the problem but this certainly seems to help control it.
