Most important thing is a mic boom system. Mic boom could be ajusted in required position and fixed reliable. Distance from mouth to mic is a constant now and not changed during a flight. You not need to bend a 'gooseneck' anymore. Really useful!2. Mic quality is excellent even in a plane with a large piston. My friends and colleague tell me they hear my very clear and better then previous.3. Sound quality and noise protection are excellent. I listen conversation very clear and also I could recognise changes of engine sounds. But those engine sounds are smooth and not disturb me. I guess noise protection is well balanced .4. Ergonomic and comfort. 5DX could be easily ajusted over head and wearing well. After 10-15 minutes I stop pay attention for headsets on my head during a glider tug flights (I need to turn a head constantly). In hot weather DX5 wears well and fleece headpad is a brilliant.5. One useful advice: to clip a headset wire on your shirt/jacket.
