This is a great product as an additive for Boat gas. I have a 1999 Lund with a 1999 Johnson 2-stroke engine. I have use SeaFoam as an additive since 2009, but now use StarBright with every gas refill. The results is quick starts from the ol' motor and no problems with water in my gas. I run the boat frequently during the summer as a member of a local Bass Club and have had no problems with motor performance. I also use it when I store the boat for the winter and the motor always starts first time in the Spring. I recommend this product and believe it is the best thing for my engine and will continue to use it! Measuring out the right amount is easy with the scale imprinted on the bottle.

I have been a marine technician for over 15 years and when ethanol blended fuels became the norm that is when the old stabilizers like stabil became much less effective and starting engines after winter storage became a problem due to gas gone bad and fuel system damage due to water in the fuel. The water comes from what is known as phase separation a natural occurrence in ethanol fuel. Stabil now makes marine stabilizers for this problem ( the green version ) but it is only good for one year. Startron however is good for two years and not only stabilizes fuel better but rejuvenates old fuel, also engines start Eazyer after storage. I have been using this for about 6 years or more and Love it. We have tried every brand out there including manufacturers brands and this one works the best. When you look at the price you think it is expensive until you find out that it treats more gal. of fuel per ounce than all the others, and that there is little advantage to using more than recommended. This is a great fuel additive for small engines. I use this whenever I fill my gas cans for use in my small engine equipment (mower, weedwacker, chainsaw, atv, generator, blower, etc). It displaces water and keeps the fuel fresh for a long time, they claim for up to 2 years although I never have gas that long. It also does a good job at preventing gum build up in the carberator, which helps with easy starting and smooth operation.

Let me start by saying that I have never put much faith in the hocus pocus in a bottle never believed the claims of how good they worked and what they could do this one however was recommended to me by a neighbor when I was having problems with my 4 stroke boat motor, it would run great up to about 3200 RPMs and then stumble and fall, I added a couple of ounces to my six gallon tank and took off across the lake, as soon as the mixture worked its way through the gas line through the fuel pump and injectors it’s like somebody added a turbo boost to my motor, it runs great and so smooth now it’s like a new motor, bought the big bottle and add a few ounces to each tank of gas, very impressed, I add more than the recommend amount but you can’t over treat, I’m a solid customer now, just hope they dont change the formula.
