This portable external drive has a high data volume (3TB) which I found stopped me having to move my data to multiple drives when travelling. I always back up the laptop and drive to powered desktop drives. I find multiple drives in different locations are safer than one very high specification drive. Unless you have an IOS Safe your data are at risk from drops, fires, or water and all from theft.
