After a failed lumbar/coccyx fusion procedure over a year ago, I continue to experience chronic back pain and I am always actively looking for specialty cushions that are specifically designed to enhance back support and aid with all day comfort. If you’ve ever been interested in similar products, I highly suggest giving The Husband Pillow a try. It is soft, lightweight, and provides an abundance of back support without ever losing its original shape. The Husband Pillow comes also comes with a removable neck cushion that is easily adjusted/relocated to provide more or less support. The memory foam chunks filling is excellent. It is soft enough to accept every contour of your own unique body shape for exceptional comfort, but it’s also firm enough to bring back and maintain the pillow’s original shape whenever you get up. The Husband Pillow has a machine washable cover that is available in several colors. Some of the colors have a reversible feature that allows you to change the texture, whatever your preference. The reversible covers have a soft side that feels like fleece, and the other side is a lot like velvet. I was watching TV when I tried The Husband Pillow for the first time. It is surprisingly comfortable while also being very supportive throughout my upper and lower back, and I fell asleep unexpectedly. I was not sure what I was going to receive, but I was amazed! My wife was using various regular pillows for support, but they would keep falling over and constantly need re-fluffing. The Husband Pillow is a game changer...as it gives enough support, while it is extremely comfortable. The Husband Pillow Aspen edition is also nice an cool, and does not heat up like some other pillows. Highly recommend!

The pillow looks nice and function very nicely. I may order a bit more stuffing. Its very cold right now and I will wait to see if the pillow settles. My one and only issue is with the smell. I have an acute sense of smell and it has take may days to tone down the chemical smell of the foam. I have washed the cover and hung it outside. I have let the pillow without cover site outside in sun several days and still the chemical smell is there. My sister is not bothered by it, but I will try to put it in the dryer with dryer sheet next hoping to kill the chemical smell. Hopefully that will work and as I said previously the pillow performance is excellent.

I purchased this to “sleep sitting up in bed” after Rotator Cuff Surgery. It did NOT work for me as I’d hoped. It’s too firm to relax against in a seated position and the arm rests are too low to add support to the arm in the sling. It’s probably a fine study pillow but it doesn’t work post surgery.

Warning, if you buy this pillow put the cover on before it decompresses!!!! Putting the cover on after will send you into a world of hurt. Pillow is very very firm. I regret buying it and how the heck can you return this huge thing? Look around first before purchasing. Edit 12/3/25 The company reached out to me to help resolve any issues that I had with the pillow. They were quite generous in their suggestions and I was pleasantly surprised. The pillow is made with quality materials just not a fit for me. A great customer experience overall.

We were a little unsure about getting it due to the price, it is definitely more expensive than most competitors, but I am so happy I got it. For my experience, the pillow did not take long to expand fully probably because I removed the cover right away and maybe the weather also helps (The smell does take a while to dissipate, but it is expected). That suede fabric is so fine with really smooth touch and the pillow cover is very easily removed for wash. I am glad to get the aspen version, so I can switch side depending on the weather. I used to use my sleeping memory foam pillow to sit up in bed for watching tv or reading, but it is not big and fluffy enough to provide good support of my back and this pillow definitely is big and fluffy enough for good support. Hopefully my back and neck pain will go away by using this pillow. Everything looks well constructed, I might have to come back for a second one!

I was very hesitant to spend over $100 on a back support pillow to read, watch tv and work on my laptop but I’m glad I did!! It’s larger than the average support pillow and the memory foam gives the best balance of cushion and support. It did take a day of fluffing to get it into shape but it’s been great so far. I also like that the cover is reversible in case it gets a stain or I change my bedding.

This pillow is so soft and comfortable. I always wanted one and this is perfect. It came already together. All I had to do is unwrap and shake it and fluff it up and attach the head rest. Well worth the money. As you can see, it is large enough for adults. I love it. I recommend this to anyone looking for a reading pillow.
