The Emperor also has the settings engraved on the collar. The mildest setting on the Emperor is milder than the mildest setting on the Crusader- hence, the Emperor is a friendlier razor than the Crusader and is suitable for both daily shavers or people who shave every few days (as the lather channels helps drain thick soap scum and long hair). The Crusader on the other hand is more suitable for experienced daily shavers who want something more head heavy and something more intuitive.
