Seeing the new Impulse Klym rifles used a big ol’ round knob, I guessed the Savage engineers/designers made an improvement to the rifle’s operation with that knob shape. So I started looking for spherical or cylindrical bolt knobs. Wrt choosing a texture, I noted that the OEM bolt release used a “dragon-scale” pattern so this bolt handle fits-in consistently with the rifle’s controls. Weight is 1.2oz heavier than stock. Not bad given how much it improved the operability of the action.
