Have a separate file server series running off USB hub connected to Intel NUC 9 w/ Ubuntu and works just as good. Had tremendous success with these towers for home media server with OMV, Portainer/Docker, and Plex on RPi 4, but they appear to be functional for every Linux OS I seem to throw at them. **Q: If power is lost, will this unit power up automatically when power is restored?** A: That was a concern for me with it as a backup and video server. I then realized that I had an ample UPS on the computer next to my server. I should have had them on the UPS from the beginning. Always better to have a server and hard drives on a UPS anyway and to automatically shut down gracefully if the UPS is reaching low power. **Q: Vibration level with max disks?** A: I can't tell you with all 8 disks installed, but I have 5 running with extremely slight detectable vibration through my finger tips. My Syba is stacked on top of a Dell Optiplex tower. To date, I have had no problems. **Q: Does this unit shut down (sleep) when the pc is turned off? and does is auto boot-up when the pc turned on?** A: Dear Customer, It will turn off when you turn off your PC. I believe you have to power it on manually on boot up. ## Frequently Bought Together - Syba 8 Bay Tool Less Tray Hot Swappabe 2.5" 3.5" SATA Non Raid External USB 3.0 Enclosure SY-ENC50119 - HGST - WD Ultrastar DC HC520 HDD | HUH721212ALE601 | 12TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5-Inch | ISE 512e | Helium Data Center Internal Hard Disk Drive (Renewed) - Western Digital 14TB Ultrastar DC HC530 SATA HDD - 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 512MB Cache, 3.5" - WUH721414ALE604 (Renewed) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/109890812-hard-drive-enclosure-supports-multi-bay-via-usb-interface-black](https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/109890812-hard-drive-enclosure-supports-multi-bay-via-usb-interface-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Saudi Arabia* *Store origin: SA* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
