Has anyone had trouble with sticky creosote sticking to the bristles?

Shouldn't be a problem... Unless you have moisture entering the flue pipe somewhere and it's getting gooey. Depending on your set-up, inspect the pipe and seams for any evidence of leaks. Perhaps a recent storm with high winds? Other than that it should be pretty crusty all through the pipe. Are you getting big sticky chunks or just minor build-up on the bristles? Can you tell if there is more resistance in certain areas of the pipe? Is this the first cleaning of the season? Try to fire it up, if you're sure there is good flow, maybe it just hasn't been cleaned it a while.

If I buy this 8 inch poly brush and the 6 inch one together can I save on the shipping? The item numbers are 16908 & 16906.
