I was replacing existing doors only. That said, I would think it would allow for cutting door jams as well with the door stop removed. The door stop would keep the router from getting close enough to make a cut. **Q: Will it work with a router with a gide bushing.** A: No guide bushing is required. The included router bit has a ball bearing guide attached, that works with the template, to cut perfectly rounded corners. **Q: I would like to know if this will work for door latchs (also knowen as a back set) and door strikes with 1/4" radius ?** A: Yes, the kit has a template for this standard size to route, roughly 1/8" deep, recess for the 1" x 2 1/4" with 1/4" radius faceplate.
