The powder in my containers is always very fine, just like talc. I mix it into my yogurt, not into water. It's very concentrated. Maybe you are using more than the recommended amount. **Q: Have these berries and berry plants been sprayed with pesticides, fungicides etc at any time during the growing or harvest season?** A: Good question. I'd suggest looking at the Nutrifruit web site. I have used this product to make Black Raspberry ice-cream and have been very happy with the results. **Q: Does this actually have a black raspberry flavor meaning I can add it to plain yogurt and it will taste like black raspberry yogurt?** A: Your yogurt will turn very dark purple and it will also have a black raspberry flavor, but not overly sweet. This powder is very concentrated so use just a small amount in your yogurt. No symptoms. My family history just led me to ask for another endoscopy. (Last one, which was clean, was about five years ago.) I have no interest at all in taking Prilosec or Nexium. Years ago I did one week of Nexium and my digestion came to an abrupt and disgusting halt. Never again. I believe we need stomach acid to digest our food. Those drugs reduce stomach acid by an appalling 99%.I take this with some plain yogurt or in a smoothie. It's delicious. I also eat berries (organic) and when I find them on sale, I buy out the shelf and freeze them. I take Carlson's Cod Liver Oil (1 T/day). Started eating raw sauerkraut again and taking probiotics. Chew DGL. And before bed, Acid Block, which I also got here on Amazon. We'll see in another 6 months. While I think the price is a bit high for the amount of the product you get, I believe the quality is good; and it's almost impossible to find it anywhere else. I store mine in the freezer to extend its life, and use a little bit every day in my breakfast, adding it in with the yogurt and muesli. It turns everything a deep purple color, so use small amounts until you get the hang of it. I would think I simply received a bad batch if a friend that also uses it on a regular basis had not asked me if I had ordered recently and noticed a funky unhealthy smell to it.
